I am in Bercy at the SX for the next few days. Here is what i'm seeing...

Gauter Paulin is the the American equivalent of Barcia.....Fast, VERY popular, exciting and young. He has fans surrounding him eveywhere he goes.

The stadium is already sold out all three nights...This is the biggest SX race in Europe.

Bud racing has the big team presence here. Big rig and 2 popular riders.

The track is a little bigger than our Arenacrosses. One more lane and room between the lanes.

Fans here are rad. Airhorns, costumes and more. Why does eveyone smoke though?

About 40 degress outside. Reminds me of the upper midwest...foggy, chilly, gloomy.

More later....

Wow.. If you don't think Musquin is a threat already you're mistaken. Look at these times. He's 3 sec a lap faster than Barcia when Barcias on a 450 and MM is on a 250.. Damn!!!!

On such a reported small track, riding a 450 might be a hindrance.

The track is so tight that the 250f might be an advantage.

I wish Shorty would've raced it on his 350.

2 secs faster than Cairoli.... AC has to be glad that all these young guys keep heading to the USA...

I was just thinking. I hope they do some kind of tribute to Magoo this year. Not sure what I would expect them to do but at least a moment of silence for a legend that pretty much gave up his life in that arena. Every year around the time of Bercy the Magoo incident always comes to mind and it's just sad that this year he's not alive.

RIP Magoo!!

I never said Musquin was NOT fast !
I just see that Paulin is popular as IS Musquin.

Other US guys I see here...
GL8 with his wife, Byrner with his wife, Chiz 11 and his girl, Beeker from FOX, Moto Mag's Doc Wob, Suzuki's Lee McCollum, Mathhes, Morais and mech, B. Wharton and mech and some French/American Sorby guy.

Gunna be a fun weekend

Grinning trust you to say something like that.

You could always say 'Supercross newbie Cairoli's laptimes more impressive than established AMA Supercross stars Grant Langston, Kyle Chisholm, Blake Wharton, Ryan Morais & Max Anstie'... but that would be pretty dozy too heh. Smile

On par with Anstie though which surprises me,he's hardly done any SX really,I'm interested to if he improves much each race

Paulin did a few AMA rounds at the start of the season and came on heaps, looks like he's going to be good value at A1

It sucks hard that how lives outside France and everyone in France without Orange Sport can't watch Bercy! It's the biggest Supercross of Europe and now without the US Open it is the biggest pré season SX too!!

He wont be at much of an advantage if all the 450 guys kill him off the start...
Small indoor tight tracks make for hard passing and if you do not get a decent start, being stuck behind slower guys does not help your lap times any. He will have his work cut out for him all 3 nights if he does not get a decent start each night.

Don't worry no one is watching this very few people have the channel in France. It was created to show one football game per week and the only people who can receive it are the ones who have Orange Broadband and are in a major city.

Basically it's a crap channel that should disapear at the end of the football season...
