I truly enjoyed the KTM 200SX that I had a few years ago. Riding a KX250 now, I tried the 125 thing several times, fun but not for me.

I have an 06 YZ125, the bike is so much fun, I am going to put a 144 kit on it this winter, while I am down with a broken arm.

I picked up a KX125 a few months ago and love it! I'll probably be riding this thing until I can't ride anymore. The most fun I've had in a long time on a bike.

Have and will again, someday.

Nearly bought one of the road legal yz125 they had in oz
a few years back.......little use and cheap!

125s allow you to bounce off things or correct at will, ie other bikes, trees, berms, etc
try bouncing off something with a 450.....nooooo just plow into it and hope for the best.

Now that her racing days are pretty much over, I bought a '03 Honda CR 125 and brought it back to life (Thank you Garvis Honda and Hickman Racing). Today on a RARE 50 degree day, in Iowa, in November I rode it for the first time. It might be the most fun I've had with my clothes on! I think everyone should have one.

Just my opinion but I don't think rider size matters when it comes to having fun on a 125. 125 are more fun than a pitbike and way more practical.

Bonus points: you don't look like a Shriner or circus clown riding one.

My pipe is a FMF pipe. It was on the bike when I bought it. I have never tried the stock pipe out. I've read nothing but great things about the PC pipes, so you should be good!

you might actually be better off with a 134 and porting. the 144 kit by itself is not as good. I'm doing both but it's expensive!!

Great bikes, but maybe they should had this post before honda, kawy, suzuki stopped making them, if they were being sold in 07 they still would be making them! Go buy some new ones and maybe suzuki kawy and honda will catch on!

I've ridden and owned 2-strokes my whole life...everything from the KX60, YZ80, QuadRacer LT250R 4-wheeler to the venerable KX500. After nearly 15 years away from the sport, I bought the 2004 RM125 pictured below. I'm 5'10" 195 lbs. This bike steadily delivers the most enjoyment I've ever experienced on a motorcycle or ATV. It keeps me on my toes, begs to have its neck wrung, carves like an electric knife on Thanksgiving and sounds so incredible that young guys that grew up in the modern 4-stroke era constantly make compliments on how sweet it sounds. This bike will be in my stable forever, hands down.

i ride an 04 cr 125 (:
it's a blast, but i gotta say, my dad has an 02 cr250, and that's alot more fun! for me at least, cuz with my 125 (totally stock except the silencer) i can't quite hang with my friends on 250's and 450's, but with the 250, with nothing stock but the frame (and front wheel?) haha i can beat most of them. buutt i'm getting a pipe, and new top end, and maybe some reeds on it, and i just picked up some new rubber, so we'll see how it goes this weekend!

so no one's ever hurt themselves on a 125???

I beg to differ, i nearly had a nasty experience when i got on one for the first time in years, nearly managed to overshoot every corner on the track for a lap. Those things really have no engine braking do they hahaha.

Once i got the hang of it, and kept the thing on the pipe it sounded sweet and was a fun play bike.

I didn't get any further in this post than this.

Late model Zook 2-strokes were some of the sexiest bikes ever, in my opinion.

That number 4 bike makes me get a little Jenga goin' on...

I picked this up a couple of months ago. been riding a 500AF on this same chassis for the last 2 years so I thought it would be an easy transition. big mistake, I've been on this thing the last 7 sundays while the 500 sits lonely in the garage. 134cc motor, porting, head and powervalve mods by Harris Performance. freakin lil screamer.

oh yeah, light as hell, turns on a dime, can huck it over anything I find in the woods (logs, piles of logs), great low and mid and even think about the clutch and instant power. this would be a great MX bike if I did that anymore (: no problem in the woods with my buds 250f's.
