I think he had to learn motocross a the top level and he did that in 2008.. the rest is history, now he can go back to being a top SX rider as well. Everts said in a recent interview that he has everything.
The sad fact is winning two World titles the way he did doesn't get you big coverage in the US, he will have to show it this year before he becomes a household name to US motocross fans because that is all they care about. The way he rides is phenomenal, so technical and precise. He learnt how to ride sand too, and was amazing in Lommel and Lierop... until Herlings showed of course lol
I bet both Roczen and Musquin are teaching Short some stuff and vice versa... Short is getting the chance to ride with two very special talents right now.
