Tom did well..... but its a little bit of a disservice to rd5.  He won 4 sx races his first year in 07, without the title.  4 races in his 250 title year in 09.  6 sx and 10 outdoors in 2010 with both premier class titles.

Dungey may not have "flash" but he won more races than people remember.

Tommy wins 2 sx titles and looks mid afff outdoors... he could have stayed in Merica and made big bank in front of large numbers of fans... or... he could go back to euro land, make mid bank, get smoked afff, while nobody knows he exists anymore... bold move tommy... bold move...

There are some obvious clickbaits so sorry it is for you Smile ; the kid is 24, financially settled for the french life, and he will make 1.5-3 mill a year each year for the next 10 years weither he races in gp or ama ... Boooo ... Yeah he is not Jett, but you don't have to sh... on anyone who is not Jett ... He is 24, has already an xxl pedigree for his age, will be mxgp champ within 3 years  (bring the paypal for a bet), then he do whatever he wants to do. And you ? He did well, sometimes it was frustrating because yes an outdoor title would have been a big plus, but great overall, could not do much more in only 3 years especially with so little experience in sx initially ! Honestly that is like a  french Dungey, underated, healthy, smart, and in the title hunt.

I also don’t know where he could go on a factory team right now.  He could to the team Kawasaki…pretty sure he wouldn’t want that at this time. However you look at it Tom was either a few years too early, or a few years too late for the big bike AMA championships.

Overall decent results, but expected,an mx title and not sx. Deegan kind of broke him in ‘24 outdoors..

Wish he was staying in the US

Anyways, Tom going to the US and winning 2 SX titles in 3 years is absolutely insane.
According to interviews that's also where his main focus was, but I also definitely thought he'd win more outdoor races aswell. I think the biggest difference for him is that he went from riding MX the whole winter/year to only 2-3 weeks actual MX testing in the US. It's obviously the same for every rider in the US, but he didn't seem to adapt that well so he could challenge Deegan outdoors.

And you don't win 4 titles by being "lucky", so F the people who badmouth his achievments.

I would have loved to see his 450 progress in the US, but it will also be super cool to see where he'll stack up in MXGP and at least we still get to watch him race a couple 450 SX off season races. Wishing him all the best in his 450 career!

Well sayd sir.

KTM only offered him one year in the US, meanwhile HRC in europe offered him a big multi year contract and maybe he doesn't even mind going back to his old schedule? Who knows.

Gonna miss tom. I was so excited when the rumor was circulating on him coming here, and just like that he’s gone again. Insane no team couldn’t find a spot for him for what he’s worth. Kawi needs a second guy and him and Chase are friends and training partners, Kawi couldn’t find a way to make that work?

Going back to the french lifestyle, too.

Other prople had their share of luck with him going out of that mud fest lottery race with a DNF and scoring a big fat zero...

Vialle did extremely well, there's not many people who can amass a resume like that, sure he had a bit of luck but at the end of the day he still put himself in a position to win it.

Like everyone in the class outdoors he unfortunately came up against an anomaly like Deegan who incidentally blew the doors off everyone

Maybe he should have stayed and prepared for an all out assault in the 250 class and done selected 450 Supercross rounds like Justin Cooper did., who knows but it will be great to see him battle in MXGP, best of luck to the guy too, I always admire anyone who goes to the other side of either world to take on the huge challenge in the opposite series.
