Not sure why I'm being downvoted lol. It seems strange when there are many reputable Japanese chain manufactures out there still.
It looks like they are trying to make the body work better for keeping contact with the bike, while it looks a little weird I think it will be beneficial.
KTM has prioritized this for a few years and it really does make a difference.

The entire engine looks new. Not a fan of the airbox slats.
Doesn’t seem strange at all. Choho makes good chains. They have a R&D department in Tokyo and they utilize Japanese design and technology. They supply chains for Suzuki and Yamaha as well.
