Has anyone tried a vortex and dual injector kit on a 23+ 350? I'm about to bite the bullet and try one. I've had a vortex mapped by xpr on my 22 350sxf and wasn't overly impressed. Hoping the dual injector kit is a very noticeable improvement.

Just for some additional feedback and consideration, my buddy just installed the XPR dual injector kit on his 2025 KTM 350 and was not overly impressed. He liked it and thought it was slightly more powerful, but was pretty adamant that it wasn't worth the cost. For context, he rode my 2024 KTM 350 with a CUO unit (most aggressive map, engine braking turned all the way down, and throttle response 3 out of 5) and a 2024 Husky 350 with just a Vortex on the same day, back-to-back-to-back. In my opinion, that is the best way to really determine the value of a modification. Personally, I have ridden two 350's with Vortex ECUs, and while they were good, I was not blown away by any means. I think the CUO unit is by far the best bang for buck if you have a 2023+ 350. Anyway, there's some anecdotal evidence and personal experience, FWIW. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

Edit: I forgot to add, my buddy noted that his 350 was MUCH louder following the 2nd injector kit and was noticeably annoyed by this all day, lol. He did repack his silencer at the same time, so maybe the packing needed time to "settle in", perhaps?

Really cleans up the decel pop on the bike as well. Super easy installation took maybe 30 minutes of me just goofing off and making sure it was installed correctly.

And what was the total cost, all-in?

About $2200 that was vortex with 2nd injector maps and the dual injector air boot. Spend the extra $20 for crimping tool they sell if you don’t have one because there is crimp style clamps for the fuel line.

Thanks for the feedback, I really hope I like it as much as you. It's not like a dislike the engine as is, just at 100kg and riding mainly sand tracks I'm always just wanting that little bit more.

Appreciate the feedback. I really hope I have a better experience with it and am more impressed. I'm not expecting it to be a completely different bike but really hope I'm not disappointed.

I've had just a vortex on my 22 350 and the CUO on my 23 and bang for buck would definitely pick the CUO over the vortex.

Can’t speak to the dual injector on the 350 but we did install the complete XPR setup in my sons 250f a few months ago and it was well worth it. Easy installation (air boot swap being the worst part and even that wasn’t bad) and as said above just get yourself a crimp tool. The detailed instructions are very good. They do recommend a gearing change and race fuel for maximum performance so take that into account as well. That being said we’ve noticed no difference or loss in running Sunoco 91 ethanol free. I would think if your looking for the best 350 engine mod without opening it up it’s 100% the way to go.

For all you guys trying Vortex from XPR and Twisted, make sure you try a 2-stroke filter cage and a vented air box cover.   The stock ECU's on KTMs are generally lean, hence the decel pop and tendency to flame out at times.  Both vortex I've tried from XPR and Twisted were richer than stock which eliminated these tendencies and they also both responded well to the filter cage and vented cover.  And also make sure you are trying all those extra maps on the selector.  So many guys just plug it in and never try the other maps.

I think a lot of what determines someone's satisfaction with a modification is their expectations. It sounds like you have the right mindset and I hope you will be satisfied. To be fair, I should also mention I have another riding buddy who did the XPR 2nd injector on this 350 and he loves it...go figure, lol.

That's an interesting point...my buddy only rode the bike in "map 5" which was a "torque" map, or something like that. Also, he still had the backfire screen and non-vented cover installed. I'll have to let him know! Thanks for the info.
