On a track he knows and they don’t, the logical answer is he beats them all, barring anything unexpected.  But the unexpected is a staple of MXoN.

If the plated collarbone allows him to ride at his normal 100%, then he beats everyone.

The top guys on either side of the pond tend to be equally fast on typical MX track.

We may have already seen peak deegs.. between the injury and the absolute crash out, things are not looking up... and him turned down Team America the last two years, is just another sign of mental weakness...  then ya got certain riders that are gonna go out and F with him on purpose just cause they can... he may know the track, but whats bouncing around inside that head, and having that injury as a built in excuse, we might not see much out of him up front...  J Coop is by far a superior choice for this event....

Hmmmm let's be real instead of all the fake cry baby bullshit on here:

1. Sacha Goonen cant stay up to save his life. This midget crashes a minimum 2 times per moto. So he's out.
2. De Pup couldn't even defend his title (supposed to be second coming of herlings)
3. Lagenfielder. Ya just not gonna be quick enough.
4. Adamo is a total head case and cant beat the above... so hes out too.

VS.

a 2 time MX champ, 2 time SMX champ, and 1 time SX champ
These guys wont even see the back of Deegan's jersey in the motos.

He is out now but one thing that nobody talked about is his tendency to rape the shit out of the bike when being stressed, like in Colorado this summer.

Yes, Ironman is not at elevation but I would not had been surprised to see a smoking 250f trying to pass 450s.

Haiden or Cooper on the super powerful star yamaha at Ironman, I'm not putting my bet on the euro riders at all. Maybe Sacha with a good start for half the race. Kay is too big and his bike is not as fast as Jcoop or Haiden.

Do the US riders have to switch to a FIM spec fuel for this race?

I think so.

What about the noise level? More strictly rules in MXGP compared to AMA?

I don't see him racing unless he thinks he can beat everyone.
And if he's ready he's beating everybody. Not even close

Great point. Worrisome though, some were saying the Yamaha 250 hasn't faired so well under the new noise limits on MX2. Could be lack of development, remotely possible the airbox acoustics coupled with measurement location are the perfect storm, severely limiting them. I hope not!

I thought the difference between the series was bigger:

"The MXGP series implemented a new sound rule for 2025, reducing its limit to 111 dB/A, while the AMA's limit is 112 dB/A (effectively 114 dB/A with their corrections) and is set to decrease further in 2026. The MXGP's 2025 reduction brings it from 114 dB/A, and they plan a future reduction to 109 dB/A, similar to the AMA's 2026 target of 109 dB/A pre-race."
