Supposedly a 40yr ofd male drove his truck through the front doors of the church while in session and started shooting people, and then lit it on fire. Law enforcement showed up and killed the suspect. Currently there are reports of 1 person deceased with multiple injured.
People tormented on their insides tend to express it on their outsides. There's just no way to get a handle on this kind of thing without going full 1984. This place works on self-regulation and somehow we have to collectively choose to do more for each other, in place where we don't really have to do anything for each other. Whatever those things may be, I just don't know, but each one is like a mini 9/11 and the net result is a worse place to live.
I'll take it even further, he was a mental cripple and a coward.Lots of idiotic, online, speculation being spewed about his motive. Trying just a bit...

Lots of idiotic, online, speculation being spewed about his motive. Trying just a bit too hard painting him as a right wing extremist.
Same with the Carolina boat shooter.
I'm not able to research, but what are those theories being spewed about the motive? As far as I know mormons are very conservative, they're against homosexuality, etc. So why would a right wing extremist want to kill mormons?

The usual media suspects were all over this last night, painting him as a maga terrorist.
Due to a faded photo of a Trump/pence sign supposedly in his yard, and an old photo of him wearing a Trump 2020 t-shirt.
The flags on his truck, and the military plate.
Whether he was or wasn't a Trump supporter, it is looking like a targeted attack, not based on any political ideology.
Read where he had a recent breakup with a LDS GF, and was upset about that.
Who knows if that's true or not ???
Either way, attacking a church during services is a cowardly act.

Consequences. Swift, severe, and public. The Kirk shooter thought he was going to "die of old age" and not get caught.
Whatever it takes to make it VERY clear that we're enforcing law and order. If that means tanks in the streets, so be it. This is the offset to extreme radical left policies allowing 14-time criminals to run free in just about every major city.

Saw that his social media got scrubbed within short order of him being identified. As always, follow the (!his) money and it will lead to the truth, one way or the other.
This sucks...kirk is killed (whom I share most political beliefs with)...now an LDS church is shot up and burned down because the dude hates Mormons (now members of my faith were killed because of their-our-religious beliefs)....This is all hitting a little too close to home, so I'm going to stay out of this one for a while, so I don't get myself put on time out again...
"Sanford was “an individual who hated people of the Mormon faith.”
"Kara Pattison, a longtime friend of Sanford’s who spoke to CNN affiliate WDIV Local 4, remembered him as a “fun-loving family guy,” but also said he “harbored unkind feelings toward certain groups” and “definitely talked about groups of people in ways that weren’t acceptable.”

The left thinks they can fix criminals with big sloppy hugs and the right doesn't want to do anything on the front end to stop this country from manufacturing criminals, but no punishment is going to be much of a deterrent. Most of these guys go in thinking they're going to die, so killing yourself before facing any consequences is just a big final LOL to the world.
For some information about other things the Church members are doing throughout the world (I hope this is received in the right way...its not a bragging or boastful thing, but just some context on what the church has done this year to help people around the world): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=peL0gUsJgko
4:47: info on the shooting
11:11 info on how the church helped those affected by the floods in Texas

Anyway...with all the "hate" and "division" things like this are uplifting and uniting. Figured I'd share.

Recent events give acts like this “legitimacy” for some. Political affiliation is a very distant secondary consideration.
You just can’t help yourself, can you?
No worries. This is just another example of what we expect from you.

Not to be forgotten.
The Amish building countless barns, and homes for people in, post helene, north Carolina.
Recently read where one homebuilder has been there working since day one, building homes FOR FREE !!!
And the still ongoing process of neighbors helping neighbors trying to return to something resembling normal.
(I'll avoid talking about the general opinion there about government, and private "charities")
We're there this weekend, and still so much road and bridge construction.
Still logging trucks hauling debris.
So many empty, and water scoured areas where homes used to be.
