This has become commonplace and impactful enough to keep a running thread. Feel free to add any recent events that haven't been thoroughly discussed.
September 24, 2025:
This morning just before 7am local time, an individual fired multiple rounds at a Dallas, Texas ICE facility, killing one, wounding several others, before taking his own life. FBI, DHS, ATF are on the ground with Dallas PD and state authorities. While the investigation is ongoing, an initial review of the evidence shows an idealogical motive behind this attack (see photo below). One of the unspent shell casings recovered was engraved with the phrase “ANTI ICE.”
I read no federal agents harmed but two “detainees” were injured/killed. Interesting choice of victim given what the shell casing says.
Reports I've seen stated shooter opened fire on vehicle and occupants were struck. So I wouldn’t assume the people hit were intended targets based solely on the fact that they were hit.
I feel bad for everyone in this incident. I imagine the kid didn’t plan to kill himself but became overwhelmed with the realization of what he’d done. I don’t think his reality meshed with the fantasy, and now he and some total strangers are dead or near to it.
Stop calling ICE the gestapo. Stop calling everyone Nazis. This is the consequence.
I was going to start a thread about this situation. The article I read had to have been put out immediately after it went down and there were very few details so I decided not to. I haven’t looked into it again since. Just now from reading your reply I learned it was a younger guy opening fire on a vehicle. You’re right about gestapo/nazi labeling. Which I’ve done none of that ever.
“They’ve” sewn that language into people’s minds on purpose. None of it is an accident. They literally said 2-3 years ago the gay stuff will take a back seat soon and the focus will turn to immigration issues. And here we are like magic pivoting right to it.

Sounds like the ICE shooter was just another white young man, floundering in life. Homeless, directionless. Numbing himself with weed. Probably didn't have a girlfriend.
The 16 year old school shooter in Colorado was a white kid, probably didnt fit in so he found online radical groups who were into watching snuff videos and idolizing mass shooters, white supremacist non-sense to further alienate themselves from normalcy. Kid probably just needed to get laid and it would have changed his focus and view on life.

Listened to this yesterday and it was really interesting. Exploring how online algorithms push us apart and how these kids end up radicalized.
Really interesting is the idea that its not at all a Left vs Right thing, its done to create the biggest reaction possible and it turns out going after political figures gets a big reaction. They're literally doing it for the memes. Explains some of the mixed messages from recent shooters, especially the Christchurch shooter. they try to make themselves into an enigma that people will argue over. Literally internet trolls creating real life chaos.
And while we're on the subject of domestic terrorism...
Not really breaking news, as we've known this since day one.
Another terrible one during worship at an LDS church in Michigan today. Sounds like there are multiple fatalities between the shooting and the fire.

So those rounds just fell out of his pocket? Who brings ammo to a shooting on a clip? In texas of all places where you surely have access to 30 round mags or 100 rounds drums.

I'm sitting this one out. I refuse to give these people the attention and relevance they crave so much.
I do think the guy who tried to blow up the at&t building on Christmas morning in Nashville after playing warnings so nobody would get hurt was on the right track. Need some of this energy directed away from other human beings and towards social media and some of the other aspects of society that make it so easy for everyone to dehumanize the others.
I almost feel guilty being on here sometimes but it's at least actual human beings typing out the rage bait and not bots and algorithms driving it. World would be a better place if Facebooktiktoktwitterinstagram all went poof tomorrow and never came back.

It's shocking how awful FB Marketplace is in modern times. Someone at meta needs to explain why you lose all your filtering ability when you click on "cars". Apparently the only way you can sort by mileage or year when searching for a car is if you include all vehicles airplanes and boats and ATV's etc. It's such a piece of shit. Facebook Marketplace is indeed domestic terrorism.
