Why the hell didn't they put him on a backboard or at least put him in a neck brace? The medical crew has shown some serious incompetence time and time again, I have no idea how the hell they're still employed when this keeps happening

Because a rider usually knows whether they are hurt or not. They go off what the person tells them. It’s not just moto that does this. He was walking around after the race, basically fine. Hard to believe because it looked bad.

so so glad this wasn’t a worse outcome

Happened right in front of us, we were 7th row lined up with that corner in to the sand. Ryder oversteered out of the corner which slowed him up. Deegs did an aggressive jump into the sand. Hard to say with certainty but I don't think that would have happened had Ryder not messed up the corner.

I think there’s a very real possibility 38 goes right into his back without a mess up.

That was one of the scariest things I've seen. When his head jerked after the second hit from the bike, my jaw dropped and my heart about stopped. When I saw him walking off the track, I couldn't have been happier. It was such a relief. Hopefully he won't have any issues with his neck or spine in the future.

It wasn't even "a line", he was cutting the track.

You can't jump over tuff blocks at the inside apex of a corner.

Deeges was cutting the track (cheating) again...

Should not have happened.

I AGREE I  CANT BELIEVE HE WASNT IN A NECK BRACE EITHER SPECIALLY THE HITS HE TOOK WERE BRUTAL BUT THE WHIPLASH ONE HAD TO BE BAD . IF HE SAID HE WAS ALRIGHT OR NOT THEY SHOULDNT LISTEN TO SOMEONE WHO WAS JUST KNOCKED OUT ..I HEARD HE DIDNT REMEMBER THE ACCIDENT FOR ABOUT AN HOUR .THEN STARTED  REMEMBERING  EVERYTHING. .  IT SEEMS LIKE EVERYTIME THE KID GETS UP TO SPEED SOMETHING HAPPENS  TO HIM

That helmet did its job. That was frightening. Good to see him looking surprisingly ok considering how that looked.

The kid has been on fire lately. I’m glad that he walked away from this.

He’s staying in the same program on the same bike…but, it’ll be white instead of red. That last part is kinda sad…but, I’m just stoked to see him goin’ into the ‘26 SX season with all this recent success.

Crazy to think that the same 2 riders, had almost the exact same type of contact/crash, just this year.

First at Washougal, now tonight. Neither time was anyone's "fault", just really odd coincidences for the same 2 guys to have the same results of one guy landing on the other.

It happened in the summer of 2005 with RC and Stewart.  I saw it happen enough times I saw the pattern and setup to get a photo of it at Binghamton. I had noticed a pattern of the 2 riders taking lines that cause problems at the bases of faster hills  with certain bumps.

I think its just the 2 different styles of riding and the typical lines each rider takes that resulted in it happening with RC and JS and again with Haiden and Ryder . I am surprised it doesn't happen more often. But with darkfish being used to figure out the faster lines, I guess it also creates more awareness of riders of the possible lines being taken too.

I was so relieved to see him up and walking. I do agree with the poster that said they should have put him on a backboard .  I can only hope that the medics did not see the crash and went off of the assessment alone, when they spoke to Ryder.  The last crash that I remember that looked that bad was Canard and  Ryan Morais . And they were both injured pretty bad.  It happening in a turn like that must have helped along with the sand?

I'm just glad he's better then it looked like he was . Even if he has some injuries they are likely not as bad as I feared at first.

I think we might start seeing the old Ryder D in 2026 and if thats the case he could very easily be a contender. He will be on a better bike and a more proven bike,, RJ won on it and i believe Ryder will too,,It looked like the GasGas was down on Horsepower this year
