So on a positive note,

Protraxx have done a cracking job on the track with the soil they had to work with the track looks awesome.

The reason the track is in the NT is the government pumped huge money into the event so no use discussing other options.

I was at both of the Broadford rounds of the MXGP back in the day and Reedy, McFarlane etc all got overseas rides out of it and to hear the crowd go nuts when McFarlane and Byrner holeshot was insane.

Pathetic the Aussie support from teams, CDR, Honda etc should be there. Webster would have done well and maybe earnt a ride.

Our half arsed SX series isn't really that big and surely getting some worldwide recognition would of been good.

The only people this round COULD be good for is all the young riders. With the MX2 age rule the only guys who'd be somewhat competitive are around or older than 23, making them no use to the 250 class. Webster is almost 30  with a baby on the way, he's not going to Europe to ride for nothing when he could stay in Aus and with bonuses could make approx $200k. It's unfortunate but nowadays you need to go young for MXGPs. Beaton and Webster would be the only two to figure in the MXGP class, and both aren't going anywhere.

Track is pretty good for a one-off. Good theres a little bit of natural elevation there. Crowd looked decent for the qualifying day

If they host again, I'd probably make the trip next year

was going to head up from sydney with a mate  but whole lotta $$$ for a pokey track in the boonies................

Track looks nice, especially compared to some of the flat, feature-less tracks I've seen on the Australian national circuit.

They're not promoting it at all in Oz.   Friends here whom are into bikes, know nothing about it...   There will be no spectators at this, and I can see by the track, they've not allowed anywhere for trackside viewing.    Why Darwin?   Makes absolutely no sense.    They'd better chain up those bikes!

not sure about your comment but your avatar is awesome LOL

And there was me thinking it would be at an established Aussie track with some of the best Aussie championship riders lining up like the old days... 🙄

Maybe he should have rode like that all/most/or even some of the season. I bet he would’ve got selected if he did.

You know very well that's not how it works. If anyone could ride like they wanted to all season long, we would've got 46 worldchampions every year.

HONESTLY the coolest 'man made' track of the calendar so far for me.
It looks like the aussie championship tracks, but bigger. Good camera angles on those long corners too

I didn’t say he should’ve rode like he wanted all year. I said he should’ve rode like “that” all season. He’s capable of being a top 7 guy every race. There’s absolutely no reason why (other than injuries and missing races) he should be sitting in 17th in points. Do you think he deserves a spot with these results?

Pretty sure Darwin is hosting a 5 year deal to run the GP

The World Championship is still undecided and coming down to this last race weekend, out of respect I would think any professional rider wouldn’t want to get involved in the outcome of the MXGP World Championship title.

More as Cairoli? Hell yes.

It doesn't care what his results were two-three months ago, he's in shape right now, so with the MXoN within two weeks, yes, I'd select him over Cairoli.

Oh my this will be chaos. Best possible scenario for KdW.

De Wolf in 2nd for now, Simon in 6th. 3 point gap to Simon's advantage. One tip over and everything changes.
