I know all the talk is the US vs Aus, but I wouldn’t rule out Holland, Belgium or France. If MXdN has taught us anything, it’s anything can and likely will happen.

Correction- Netherlands not Holland.

Agreed, but The Netherlands is still a dangerous team with Vlaanderen on board. He just had some bad luck last weekend. Herlings is the better option ofcourse.

Same with France, don't count them out. Renaux will likely be better in a month than he is now.

What happened to Finland, is their economy to broke to race Motocross nowadays or will they be at MXDN?

We will. It is not cheap, but thankfully we got Ponsse Plc (one of the world’s largest manufacturers of cut-to-length forest machines) as our title sponsor. We had some injuries, so team annoncement is delayed until next week. image002.jpeg?VersionId=2rCnvQ9Lwcsc3rjCnjjSD2FNqkL

Hungary have officially pulled out, due to the high cost of sending a team to US.

Shame...

I've read Team Latvia needs 60,000 euro to make the trip. They've reached out to the fans aswell.

I think the issue with Anstie is the amount of money Star want for him to use the bike.

Charlie Heyman over Askew?

Personal preference of course but my reasoning is that Heyman already has a bike and setup over there, has raced at Ironman and has a decent bit of experience racing in America, and he seems to be able to handle pressure better than Askew, he is more consistent and I’d argue faster than Askew. Neither pick is a bad one though, I’d be very happy with either

Guadagnini isn't too happy about the choice,  I can tell you that. And I don't blame him. You could argue about who's the best/fastest right now, either Cairoli or Guadagnini, but a fulltime factory GP-rider getting shunned over his semi-retired "teammate" wildcard rider (who's one of the living legends of the sport, don't get me wrong)... I wouldn't be too happy about that either. It definitely isn't a choice for the future.

And I get it, Guadagnini's latest result are mediocre and subpar the passed few weeks, but still... I guess Cairoli's name opens more doors for sponsors etc to pay for the trip to the USA. And a lot more media attention aswell.

If Guadagnini wanted to be picked over Cairoli, he simply needed to perform better the last few rounds. He’s gone 17-17-24 overall.
Shouldn’t be upset with anyone about the selections but himself, it’s on him imo.

Like I said, his results are subpar as of late. But Cairoli had no results, because he simply didn't race. I understand the choice for Cairoli on a commercial and publicity level, but sportswise? Absolutely not.

Caroli’s knowlege and experience cannot be replicated. His presence will make him the de facto team manager and guide the Italian team through the intricacies of the MXdN, racing in the US, etc.
