I don’t want to take guns away from any law abiding citizens.
I do want to maybe make is slightly more inconvenient to buy guns, in an effort to make it harder for people who shouldn’t own guns not to.
There are ways to start, folks that have been diagnosed. Folks whose loved ones have witnessed dangerous behavior and warn authorities. Might that get abused, sure. But more often than not it could save lives.
Doing nothing but blame mental health and at the same time defunding mental health services is also not helping.

I agree to a point. I dont believe there is a cure for everything. Mental illness, homelessness, plain old hate. Ain't never been a cure for those things unless we are willing to get medieval and that is just hate with power.
