I think you're kidding yourself if you feel Prado won't be better back on KTM.

He mentally checked out of Team Green a while ago and doesn't care to even try. It's not a bike/team thing, it's a personal choice thing. I think less of him for how he handled this season, but I have no doubt he will ride a lot better after leaving Kawasaki.

You're kidding yourself if you think he's ever going to be faster than Jett, Hunter, JCoop, Tomac , AP, or Rj

Jett and Hunter … maybe not. The others? Come on man. Weve seen prados potential he just needs to find a way over his mental wall.

Well he was faster than some of them 10 months ago - on Saturday, until it rained and he quit again... But that's a different story.
On a Euro track. Not sure about Ironman, but it's not like he's never beat any of these guys. By the way, the guy in 2nd went 1-1 on Sunday.

MXoN is going to be another Lawrence sweep anyways.

Just talked to some top insiders up in Canada. They were on the phone with some guys in Spain and sounds like he's testing on a top secret grey KTM out in so cal.

Heard there was a bald guy involved who is a former stripper...

How do you think the internet would respond if he goes out and beats everyone? I don’t think he will at all, but I could see the entire podcast scene go wild for it. Would definitely put a stamp on one of the wildest seasons / silly seasons ever.

I think of that happen we would see a giant restructuring at Kawasaki. Like just just about everyone gets fired.

There is some irony in Kawi leading the MXGP championship. Any idea how different that is from a Prado-spec Kawi?

As for "MXGP version", we are generally led to believe that MXGP 'Factory bikes' aren't much different. Of course if is stated otherwise you have an issue where at events like MXDN certain riders benefit from true factory bikes while other top riders are on true production based bikes. Not a level playing field. If, for this MXDN, Prado thinks he needs his factory spec Austrian bike, I wonder how beneficial that is over the production based 'factory bike' the AMA riders are riding?

I read some MXGP stuff on twitter saying that bike is 100% built around Febvre, which is why he has had multiple teammates come and go since he's been on it.

I'll say this again:

Viałle had the choice to run his GP bike last year at MXON, on a GP track he has raced multiple times on.

He chose to run his AMA bike. Renxau is on 2022 Yamaha because the factory bike is crap. All of them wants of the bike pretty much.

Factory spec bike isnt always better.

And you have much higher demands on MXGP fuel and sound. In MXON they can run AMA fuel and MXGP riders when racing in AMA have said its very much noticeable how much more powerful the bikes can be setup to be with AMA fuel.

The fact is even if his KTM / Gas Gas bike isn't any better than his Kawi, he will default do better because he will be trying the whole moto and not just a few laps to prove a point. So if he does better I don't think you can take much from it and say oh the Kawi is bad.

Yea it’s not going to happen when you’re just riding around not trying. Anyone that thinks this is Prado’s level of riding hasn’t followed MXGP at all. We didn’t see the guy that won 2 MXGP titles. We got to see him quit a lot though.

We will notice. He has been qualifying same laptimes as Jett and Hunter, Tomac etc so maybe not from that.

I expect him to have dropped plenty in race fitness. Testing in the weeks and riding around in motos doesn't exactly build when the others hang it out for 30+2. If you don't push during races, you need something else, and testing ain't it I can tell you from own experience.

If he can run upfront, for 10-20min without people flying by, it's there. Then he just need to continue to build.

Let's hope the weather is decent so we don't get a mudder.

Oh come on now when did George qualify the same as Jett, Hunter and Eli? Southwick? his average qualifying time differential was 4.033 seconds off and his average qualifying position was 10.36 with a best of 4th twice. With an average qualifying time over 4 seconds off and an average qualifying outside of the top 10 is definitely NOT qualifying the same lap times as Jett, Hunter and Eli....or even JCoop....Are you in politics by any chance? You seem to have more spin than most....

Some people in Spain are saying this? Must be true!

That is one serious profile photo!

Ironman. This and Southwick are the only times though I think.

The irony of a top mage guy coming here and getting waxed is pretty amusing. I remember when a top guy went that way, botched his start on the first weekend, won the second round, then crashed out and he "did horrible" and no excuse could explain that it was just that Americans sacked. Now we flip it (but worse results) and any excuse is valid... OK.

But is good. If he qualifies within same second as Jett or Chase or Tomac at MxON, we know its for sure the bike since you are saying he hasnt been close. Keep that in mind.
