same screnario on partial acl tear that got done in in a minor crash; it doesn't take much.
i've owned asterisk and cti2 braces and currently wear pod's and think they're awesome!
Swedish guy (Big), hate to say it, but STFU!!! you don't even know the origin of a product you're bashing. you can't give any first hand account. there's only one example. you don't even own or probably never wore the product. do you even ride a dirtbike? if so, what knee braces do you wear? just askin'
I keep reading that the Pods are the most comfortable and is this the only reason they are being picked as the best by magazines? Comfort is great I guess but my main concern is protection to my knees. I think the design of the Asterisk with its tie up wrap around design would better protect against knee twisting plus the asterisk has a dual joint at the knee pivot. It appears as though its a better design for protection but I'm not a Dr. or Engineer.
So I guess I'm trying to ask with all comfort issues being taken out of the equation what is the most protective brace? I need to buy new ones and I'm really trying to decied if I should give the Pods a try or stick with the Asterisk.
Btw, chinese products are way better then their reputation. They are the world leader in the solar cell industry, for example. They are taking over multiple industries for a reason.
Do you really think he's making this story up? Buy those Pod if you want. But please stop protect the company that sells Chinese s...t for big Us-dollars. Check were most of the clothings coming from in the buissiness. But when they selling important protecting-gear as high-tech and a huge strongest on market campaign. And they can broke anytime. maybe because they been used in real racing (without major crash)? It's like blame yourself for driving a car falling apart because you actually using it on a road. I got a call from a Pod-user who realized who i am because of the riders missfortune is getting known in small Sweden. He told me that the kneejointrope (made of kevlar probably), has to be exchanged after every hard hit or chrasch. Because he saw a damage after closer control after a smaller crasch. Did you know that? Can't read that in TWM or MXA advertisings. Free Fox t-shirt sponsored Ktm riders. Please give me a break? Let the realracing customer make choises based on knowledge, not false commercialcampaigns on Chinese lowqualityproducts. Ask TWM or MXA test forces from sideimpact, overbending, twisting on all kneebraces and help rider avoid major injurys. I bet Fox is like a Husky/Ktm or Defenda (Chinesebike) in a bikeshootout. Sorry but i couldn't resist the last personal comment.....
as for you talking about a ktm or husky im confused arent they made in europe? and your knocking chinese products? and arent you from there too? so idk but i know that i can say bad things about hondas, kawasakis, suzukis, and yamahas. but for all i know it was user fault (kneebrace) or a some isolated part failure. and it would be unfair to target a company for making a product that 9 times out of 10 is a good product. but what do i know I'm just some 19 year old, train 365, travel the country, ride 3 time a week, bench racing message board noob.
Pit Row
As far as thier helmets, the V3 is a good helmet. They have proved thier quality from the lawn darts that RC and James have had in the past!
And when you say, "Give me a serious mailadress to a Fox senior manager. They will have a picture directly." That doesn't help your case either. We aren't the ones with the issue here, so why should anyone on here go out of their way to give you any contact information at Fox? If you have the issue with them, go find the contact information (here's a hint, it's usually on their website) and deal with the issue directly.
You want to know how an intelligent person would have started this thread? In short it would be something along the lines of:
"A local racer here hurt his knee in a slow speed wreck, and was wearing _______ knee braces. I was wondering if anyone else here has experienced any problems with _______ knee braces and perhaps anyone that owns them might want to keep an eye out on that specific area that failed for this local guy."
Your case has been rested
