I lived in the US for 25 years. Still don't understand the advertised price is never the price you pay. You can't buy a $19.99 t-shirt with a $20 bill. Make that make sense... haha

In Europe, whatever price you see it's the price you pay. The 20% french sales tax is included in the price for example...

I think it’s insane.

Damn 20%, and I thought our 13% sales tax was high.

That's ridiculous. Dealers over here (Western Australia) have to advertise the out the door price for new vehicles, if a bike (or car) is advertised for $15k you walk in with a cheque for 15k and ride away. If it's a road legal model, advertised price includes registration, gov charges etc and is licenced in your name before you ride away.

I’d drive 8 hours each way to avoid them if I had to In order to get a deal. And I have done that but not that dealer exactly.

It’s wild they get any business but some people are lazy enough to pay whatever the local dealer wants.

Anyone have advice where to buy in Vegas area? Definitely avoiding places with a ton off fees.

The dealer with the smoking deal on the GasGas MC300 that I posted earlier is 2 hours from Vegas.  And if you don't live in Utah, you don't pay sales tax. But some states like California make you pay the sales tax when you register the bike.

That sounds right, Kawasaki USA imports the KX450 from KHI Japan for $5,666, and marks the price up by $7,933 to cover overheads, profit, pro race team and it's contingency program.

I refuse to buy bikes in CA. Mostly because of taxes and freight/setup fees. Just picked up a 25 KTM 350 XCF Factory Edition from Motosport Hillsboro for $11,499 OTD (MSRP is $13k) No tax, no set up. Power Motosports also does the same.

Welcome to Oregon 😃🌲

Headed to Oregon for work in Sept. Maybe I can happen to find one of these deals!! Specifically in the market for a 690/700/701 bike. Lesser in interest 390 Enduro and maybe consider a good deal on a 350 mx version for great deal.
