Mx vs. ATV Reflex for PC
“We are thrilled to bring the #1 off-road racing franchise, MX vs. ATV, to the PC platform for all the fans,” said Michael Lustenberger, Vice President of Global Brand Management - Online, THQ. “As a huge added bonus, we developed a substantial amount of dynamic downloadable content post-console launch that will be included in MX vs. ATV Reflex on PC.”
Pretty rad! Hopefully the guys at mxg-hq.com will create some awesome content for this platform like they did unleashed. Now I just have to figure out how to access that website again. Tried with multiple browsers on both my PC and Mac with no luck. Anyone else have this problem?

And again..............who do you think "makes" the games for your consoles??.......here is a hint......PC!
Just because I use a computer for an online social experience (like right now) or to do research, or as a function of work (like creating a console game), does not mean I use it for leisure and recreation as well. That would be like saying that a carpenter uses a hammer to drive nails and create structures, therefore it must also be true that he uses it for fun.
Lastly, while computer technology has been growing exponentially for over the last two decades ("upgraded with CPU's , video cards , MB , Ram , going water cooled for extreme over clocking"), do you not think that console systems are getting it just as fast? Because remember, while a console is not technically a "personal computer", it is still made up of all the same parts -the same parts that are becoming more and more advanced every day.
Pit Row
Only reason consoles are favored over pc's is the lower chance of hacking the games these days.
I'm sure OcScotty could chime in here about the old MCM2 days where we had thousands of tracks , rider gear , bikes and ect that were all done for the PC gaming experience. I have an Xbox 360 here , but my buddies and their kids play it more than I do. I spend my gaming time ( which is hardly ever now days ) on my PC. It just makes it so much easier to be able to download all the patches , upgrades , mods along with visiting all the website which hosts all this software.
I dunno....I think the consoles are cool for the people who enjoy them , but looking at a 30" monitor ( or 3 monitors in super wide screen HD ) is an unreal experience in gaming when you are playing games such as Crysis , farcry and so forth. Besides....I have always been kind of a computer geek , and love building some big Mamba Jamba bad ass gaming machine. I have a $700.00 water tower sitting here I had built last winter and was going to finish my build on my new gaming machine this winter.....but damn it.....seems like I have all my money going into other things right now.
I built my super-computer and would never abandon it for one of those dumb consoles. My wife watches tv and I play games on my computer. Works perfectly.
Trust me, I am not a total laymen to the PC gamer world. My brother is a WOW freak (as well as first-person shooter games), has been a programmer and computer tech whiz for over 20 years, and has an inventory of computer hardware that could build a dozen computers at any one time. Also, my other brother and I used to play MM2 online all the time, as well as building our favorite replica tracks and sharing them on RonRon (which was the only decent part of participating in that forum). Luckily for the second brother, he transferred his technical knowledge into a skilled profession of coding websites and creating motion graphics and digital 3D models, rather than playing online PC games. Not to say that playing video games is wrong or unproductive... to each his own I guess.
Not too mention, i watch a lot of US series on it, that we don't get here.
Oh, it's good for browsing too :D

The 360 is even farther behind....safe to say its using tech from 7-8 years ago.
