Plus the track seems like a pretty frustrating place to make passes.. You could see on the gopro a number of times Gifting taking Tim's line away.. Obviously he has every right to and it was good racing but that doesn't mean it's not frustrating haha
Thanks, fellas. I hadn’t seen Gasjer’s GoPro of the crash, so I just thought there may have been some kind of beef between the two going back to before Tim’s injury.
Paul Malin is perfection personified as an announcer. He calls the race and doesn’t make it a clucking hen talk show like other announcers…..
That was a great race by Gifting. Is he a guy that can do that occasionally at other rounds or is he only really good at his home track?

He has shown great development throughout the season. Overrides a little at times, which sometimes results in crashes. But his top speed now vs April is night and day different. With this progress I´m sure what is overriding today might be manageable very soon. What really stands out is his dedication, you can tell he really wants it, and isn´t affraid of the full factory multi-time champs he´s racing against on his privateer bike.
Sidenote: He often rides in the Swedish colours, and blue/yellow looks amazing on the track, and he´s easy to pick out from the generic factory teams. Quite smart bit of marketing for sure!
How badass was it that Gifting’s mechanic put the pitboard out with something along the lines of “viking” written on it and Gifting decided to just straight up put the hammer down from that point on
He seems to ride a wide bike as well. It never goes over well with the top guys when they feel like you’re just holding them up. I’ve watched Gifting do it at a few rounds. He definitely crosses over and blocks guys sometimes and rides a bit over his head at times. He sure is fast though on a privateer bike. He looks like his riding is on another level this year.
