Prado Gives Up

I want to see him in the mix and do well as much as anyone, but watching his body language through the year it’s so easy to see that he just quits.  I can’t imagine being a kawi team guy working your butt off to make someone happy for them to just quit, cruise around and blame your team.

🙄No, no that's not it at all.  He's just not "comfortable."

He cant say the bike isn't fast enough as he got passed going into a corner on the brakes and then he also pulled Kroc up hill. He went from 1st to 6th on first lap again and may fall out of top ten. Oops I spoke to soon , he may fall out of top 15 🤨

And pulled the holeshot. The bike is plenty fast, he just might not be able to physically handle it now.

Evidently what does he care? He still is getting paid no matter what he does to publicly humiliate his coworkers and employer.

Kawi and George just need to part ways at this point. It has come off the rails.

I don’t think he’s willing to admit or come to grips with the fact that he’s not the fastest guy out there so it’s easier for him to go look at his results and go “well yeah, I wasn’t giving it 100% so that’s not my real result.”

He’s really tarnishing his name/brand by doing it though and what a bad reputation to have as the “whiney quitter.”

1st to 15th. 😬

Imagine working your ass off being away from family testing and pulling any punch for your coworker to excel and then he drags you publicly on the largest platform for HIS poor performance (literally gave up).  Brutal.

Kawasaki needs to just send him home, I wouldn't even let him line up for the 2nd moto.

Dropped so many anchors he might want to consider becoming a sailor. 😄

He should quit MX and SX, before  he hurts himself or someone else. He is obviously totally over it and completely unmotivated. It's time Jorge.

He faded away like a fart in the wind again. It appears that he’s not in good enough shape to hang here. Don’t they ride longer motos in MXGP? Just weird. Kenny comes off the couch after months and gets a top 5. Prado should go back to MXGP.

Barcia, who’s apparently at war with his forks, motored by Jorge.

I mean…damn. 🤣

Mitch Harrison passed him for 15th on a Kawasaki. Let Harrison ride Prados bike. 😉

Thought the same thing watching that first moto. I'm sure not being comfortable on the bike (at least earlier in the year) has impacted his confidence, but sure seems like he just caves when he can't match the guys he thinks he can beat.

I was thinking the same thing, Kawi just needs to cut ties and not let him ride the 2nd moto. The bike is plenty good enough and looked the most stable and planted in qualifying of all the bikes. All he's doing at this point is making the bike and brand look bad.

His fitness has nothing to do with it.  It looks like Prado just doesn't care at this point.  I think it would be in the best interest of both Jorge and Kawasaki at this point to terminate the contract.

His lap times were crap from the start. He was not competitive with Ken, Dylan, etc.

I’d tend to agree…

However, his “mental fitness” is an issue.

If he’d get out of his own damn head and…JUST RIDE THE DAMN BIKE…?

His flow looks like a C rider in his/her first race. Straight to the corner , turn, straight etc etc.

The other riders have flow, arcing the straights to keep the momentum up.

Yep, throw Harrison on Andersons bike.

Im over it at this point.

I cannot think of a time in the last 40 years of being a fan where a rider is struggling this bad.

His best lap that moto was 6 seconds slower than Jett and Hunter's best, 5 seconds slower than Eli's best, 4 seconds slower than RJ and Kenny's best. That's horrible.

After racking up 4 MXGP titles I'd have all the confidence in the world. Crazy how quick your mental fortitude can go down the drain..

The flip-side to consider... What if you're the rider, watching your diet, following a training plan to the nth degree, taking early nights, not living life because you need to take rest hours, only to turn up and find the team haven't given you what you've asked for?? Im not saying my 'take' is correct, but we need to keep an open mind that just maybe, what he's telling the press about the bike being bad might just be right..

31 year-old Ken Roczen just whooped his ass off the couch on a 10 year old bike and a bum ankle. No bike is that bad.

Prado probably thought Dilla would be a good track for him and then the gate dropped.

This. He's embarrassing the brand he rides for right now. Jason would be destroying him on this bike if healthy, it's no wonder he is salty after riding with Prado and seeing what he has to offer and realizing that the team is out on you? I'd be staying home too if I was him

It's possible that they haven't delivered exactly whatever he has in his weak mind  but only a fool would think that it's due to lack of effort.
