Potter is washed up, has no heart, couldn't hook up in a tackle shop, needs to get off Bubba's coattails, My 2 cents.

How is Potter washed up, last I checked he wasn't a racer, and he just won best whip at X. If you knew anything about him, you would know he was upset about how he was portrayed on Bubba's world. He rides FMX, having fun, and getting paid to do it, if that is being washed up, I am missing out.

I only signed up recently, I was a lurker for a couple of years, but since I am at home with a broken arm, I figured I would login, and argue with everyone else.

If it wasn't for James Stewart no one would know Potter's name.

Bwahahahahahaha

I get it: FMXers suck and only the hatin' "Core" guys in here "Get It".

Right?

How about this, for a reality check:

Potter is a professional athlete.

Are you?

Thought so...

"Professional" means different things to different people... To each their own.

Well, how about this for "Professional", Potter makes a S**T load more money than any of us! Love him or hate him, he has skills on the bike, plus he cracks me up off the bike too!

Amount of money made means nothing to me. I know people who make more in a week than he does in a year and I wouldn't call them professionals either.

And yes, Potter does have skills on a bike.

Well, you are right about amount of money doesn't make them professionals... but are you using Bubba's World as an example of what you think of Potter?

Todd Potter has skills on a dirtbike. We all know that. He is a freestyle guy, not a lot of people that race like any freestyle guys "other than Pastrana". He was portrayed on Bubba's world as a chump. I personally have met Todd and spent time with him and he is the most humble, laid back, mellow person I have had the pleasure of meeting. Regardless of how much money he makes riding a motorcycle he makes a living out of doing so. Any person who rides a dirt bike would give there left nut to be able to ride a motorcycle and make a living out of doing so rather than working a 9 to 5 doing construction. Someone who travels around the country and also the world putting on shows at contests for people to watch a lot of people at that, to me would constitute as being a professional athlete.

Until he tries to act tough and fight his friend, throw food and crutches at an opponents car, and yells a slur of profanities in front of kids. Then he is no fun.

To each his own, he does have skills on a bike.....however, I won't use professional in his category for a while.

I love the direction this thread took by the way, a pic of a bike to an argument on a riders character.

I cant believe potter switched to the four stroke. Four strokes are way to heavy for fmx in my opinion. Two strokes have plenty of power for fmx too.

A large part of that decision was based on riding shows over seas, and in third world countries, when he was riding Honda two strokes, him and a lot of other riders were getting old clapped out bikes. It was more of a safety thing than anything else, a lot of other guys just switched to Yamahas, or KTM to stick with the two strokes.
