That photo is kind of ironic because now i run #33 everywhere, Old-timer Nationas, Fire Police MX and Over The Hill Gang races because it was my lowest earned national number.
Eric aka #33
I still got a 36 exposure Kodachrome 400 that I shot the whole roll back then, but being color film, only one place in the US develops it according to Kodak and being over 30 yrs old, color doesn't save nearly as well as black/whites. Gonna try anyways.
Thanks Ernie, Bret, oldschooler and Drummer Dude for the thank yous. Mean a lot.
You all have a Merry Christmas!
That's why I thought just maybe it was you.
You're lucky all these years to have Cheryl.
You should recognize one of these pics on Jans wall of shame.....fame mean....lol.
Have a Merry Christmas Eric and Cheryl.
Thanks.
10 is Coupe'. No gloves on.
125 black plate Ricky DeLong Kamikaze says is him.
Don't think Magoo on off camber behind Taylor. Seems too big to be him.
15...heck if I remember..lol.
189 is Tomato....Tony Tamagni.
33 thought maybe Shultz or Heiberger, then when Eric posted, thought him since he rode #33, but this race was before his Am Nats.
148..Don Ferraro (Dirt Werkes, wasn't that Rory Ivers place?)
The '77 Trans AMAs from Sears Pt below. A friend John Therriault, who did some CN stuff got called by Modern Cycle and they wanted 2 photogs and he asked me. Hell yeah I said. Wish I had the darn mag. Been checking Ebay regularly, but Coupe' might have since he had been collecting old CNs and mags some yrs back.
322 is Mark Barnett. Magoo was #594 until he got Nat number. Turner was once #552. Pat Wilson was #661.
371 is Shultz. Maico ran a CN ad the one he faces us; I gave Houtermans 3 more since the original is totally sunburnt and one to Tamagni of him who stops by.
17 is Glover; #333 think is Denny Swartz or an imposter.
20 is John Savitski...
21 is Chuck Sun. This photo and 2 others were printed in Modern Cycle and like the mag I held on for 20 yrs with a bunch of E st and Plymouths color prints got tossed.
Hey Greg, checkout Tom Corleys stuff from SoCal if you haven't. Really cool stuff.
George McNamaras....Denison Designs/ Smugmug; it's a thread that's got a lot of neat stuff too.
I just saw the CMC 100 for 1978 and #33 is Shultz.
I just got back from a ride in Mexico, so I am just catching up.
I do think the off camber rider is Magoo. The style, hair peeking out of the helmet and what appears to be a 125 Suzuki that he rode one year. I remember seeing him that day cartwheel down the track, with his arms and legs extended, he looked like a starfish being thrown. I was totally amazed when he stopped tumbling that he got up and ran back to his bike to get going and didn't have any injuries from the crash!
No one else could have gotten away with that.
I do recognize the wall of shame/fame pic.
Eric #33
Andy by the way the guy is sitting down it looks like Bobby (No Style) Myers
Where has the dork Myers been?
Post a reply to: Finally succeeded in....
