Internet shit the bed.

Not a good day for Ward. Qualified second fastest. Got docked a spot in moto 1, so lost 2 extra points. Went into Deschambault leading by 1 point and leaving 10 points behind.

The Walton Kawasaki Team has had a lot of issues this year with Walsh's bike quitting on him something like 5 times. Phil's bike was smoking in moto 1. I hope it doesn't come down to a mechanical.

What was the penalty for?

I wholeheartedly disagree with you guys about wright being on the team. IMO there needs to be consequences for your actions, just cuz you’re the fastest guy, if you send it beyond your capabilities and crash out all the fucking time that doesn’t make you better than the guys you beat on the rare occasion where you don’t get sketchy. This is karma for having some limited opportunities to make a real name for himself in ama or mxgp, and turning those down to remain a big fish in a small pond. That’s fine that’s his choice, but when you can’t even get the job done in the small pond other than a couple flashes of blinding speed, sorry you’re not one of the 2 best 450s guybuddypal. Pettis and Ward should go before Dylan Wrong.

He got pushed off the track but continued to accelerate and make the pass right before the finish.

Some of DW's 'rare' occasions include:

-Canadian 450 champion in rookie year
-Only rider in Canadian moto history to record a perfect season in the premier class (2023)
-10th O/A - MXDN Open Class, 2024
-11th O/A - MXDN MXGP Class, 2022
-12th O/A - MXDN MXGP Class, 2021
-8th O/A - 450MX Ironman, 2023
-9th O/A - MXGP Garda 2021 (2nd Trentino GP)

For the sake of national pride, I would love to see him and Pettis step up to race on the biggest stage. But where will they go? What team will they ride for? What kind of money/living will they earn living abroad? They both make a living racing in familiar territorry and don't shy away from racing world class races. DW and JP are the best 450 riders Canada has and I think the country can collectively agree they're representing us honourably.

Wow with that “amazing” list they should’ve gave him a permanent spot forever, who cares that he’s been crashing out and riding like an asshole the past 2 years… he did a perfect season and STILL didn’t leave, what a fuckin cherry picker. Really hope they leave him home  where he’d rather be this year

There isn't a realistic option for him to leave Canada. Many Canadian greats have tried to make a run at the US with mixed results and not one of them stayed long. His best bet would be a high profile privateer team for a short term stay, which is likely not going to pay as good as what he's making in Canada. Right now GDR has given him comfortable contracts and his winter training visits at the Lawrence's compound is paid in full. He has a good life and makes good money here. Say what you want about him or some of his questionable choices but that guy is 100% heart and a class act off the racetrack.

Are you paying his bills?

MXON team - Pettis, Ward and Racine. Kourtney had some tough descisions this year, but I think she did a good job with this team.

No DW is bad. Must be Pettis calling the shots.

No but I would’ve picked this same team if I was Wink

I suspect there was probably some “if he’s on the team, I’m not going” conversations that led to who ended up on the team. Nothing against Ward, he is killing it this year, but Wright is faster, and if not injured, a better pick still.

I would have liked to see Pettis, Wright and Ward and have Ward race the 250. But I respect and understand KL's decision on the team.

It's a shame Pettis and Wright couldn't get along better to put team Canada first but they probably can't even be in the same room as each other right now. Alpha dog stuff, but that's the nature of top racers.

Yes, we usually make the Sunday races other then a couple years back.  I can't remember what the reason was, but something happened in qualifying, then a crash at the start of the B final or something.    We typically finish somewhere 10th-15th.

I guess the rulebook is optional.

The appeal board shall render a decision within 72 hours from the expiry time by Saturday of the same week of appeal.

Super cool Marv is soo Talented on the bike.  It’s his 2nd yr racing the premix class .  He’s the only x pro doing cool stuff now.  I,ve been to Quebec City it’s amazing.  I,m still bummed out I didn’t make it to Deschambault for the week long race& Pre mix on Sunday.  Too many injection apts & bad weather to make it .  I did make it too Xmas double header there was a Super fast Canadian kid in the in the 2-st class they had 25 or more.  Sat after racing swimming in Lake Superior was awesome & after sun race going home .
