That’s an interesting point. Texas was a heavy Blue state until the mid 80s when both parties began moving to the edges. Begging the question: is it gerrymandering or recalibrating? A democrat has not been elected to a statewide office (re: gerrymandering is irrelevant) since Ann Richards. Have congressional districts changed to reflect Texas’ new normal?
PS: Texas democrats need to stay and vote. If the gerrymandering is illegal, fight it in the courts.
