Inflation decline is not the same as deflation. Inflation decline is going from 4% to 3% to 2%.
Prices have been about the same for a year or 2 with sales on things being more common so that's something, gas around me has been hovering between $2.89 and $3.29 for a couple years. It hasn't changed at all with recent drops on crude prices.
The moves this past week and change should see inflation tick up with decreased dollar value and increased interest rates, unless recession happens which brings its own problems.
