A permanent ban from all future MX Sports events? Get real.
It is excessive. Unfortunately, MX Sports has complete control. VitalMX, PulpMX, and any other media outlet knows it's wrong but won't say sh*t because it will cost them their paychecks. I don't blame them, but I do feel sorry for the position they are in. If anyone could say something, it'd be Matthes, but he won't because they are all buddies.
I get the Cooksie ban, but Slowie is just a fan.

Is anyone else tired of the constant High School drama surrounding our sports coverage? It is ridiculous, everyone is out to get everyone, team A hates team B and they can’t accurately report on anything. There is always some back handed comment associated with every podcast and interview. The constant negativity is exhausting and it is both sides feeding the fire.

The thread from last year when Michael said he asked Davey and got his response that he asked for a media pass mid way into lorettas is a lie. Slowie had a video out well before lorettas stating that they wouldn't give him a media pass for that year but he was going anyway. So either Connor (slowie films) was lying about no media pass midway thru July. (Which i doubt why would he) Or DC made that up to sound better and not tell the whole truth that he asked for one before. He could of possibly asked again mid week I dont know.
One thing that's shitty is the whole mxsports staff that was bothered by him knew he planned to come to loretta lynns. It would of been the decent thing to do before he left to address this. Save the headache and drama down there. But they let him drive down and waste money on the weeks festivities before they said anything.
In the end neither are fully innocent.
Considering not many people know what caused this, isn’t the action a bit much? Then again, that’s moto media. “What did he do to get banned for life?” “Idk, no one would give a clear answer.”
Does anyone even know if he was “banned for life” or is he just saying it to get people on his side? I tend to be skeptical of anyone who plays up the victim card.
I can’t speak to years past as it’s our first year but I’ve heard a few people mention in the pits about attendance being down from years past. That being said, that’s fine with me. It’s still wall to wall people when you try and navigate around here. Even trying to get to and from the track is ridiculous because it’s just people joyriding on side x sides and golf carts. It’s a line of them bumper to bumper along the creek road. When your race is over and you’re cooking in your gear it’d be nice to be able to get back to your pit without playing frogger with them. I won’t say any more so we’re not escorted out 😂
Does Slowie represent his riding or his thinking abilities?
He is prohibited from attending any future mx sports event. I posted a picture of the letter. So no qualifiers, mx, smx, highpoint events, ect. I would say the way its worded it means banned for life.
Simple fact is Slowie and Matt both show crashes and mayhem that MX Sports doesn't want seen. Then you throw in some of the after race hours shenanigans that Slowie shows and it really goes sideways for him. Matt has spoken of this before and was told if he would basically just show the racing he would be let in but he wouldn't bend the knee.
So do they have his picture at the gate? How do they enforce this? I get not giving him media access but this seems a bit excessive

The guy is very unique looking ill leave it at that. He stood out to me in pictures before I ever knew of his youtube. I agree with all the info avaliable it is a bit excessive.
Echoing the sentiment, I need to do more research and see what all of his content is about and if it’s really that bad, but banning someone from all MXSports because they said Jeremy Hand caused the red flag seems honestly tyrannical and a bit obnoxious. The insta vid slowie posted is a bad look, and I have no clue why he doesn’t take it down especially when he knows it’s false, but banning someone for a misinformed video seems even more obnoxious and like an unnecessary use of power.
Well I guess I have heard of him since I commented on that thread last year. I'll try to remember next year before LL's. lol
The annual excitement of 250 B and the updated drama surrounding slowie are what really get me tuned up for Loretta’s every year
typical horseshit from our industry. ML shows up to bash on the guy, but ignores 20+ page threads regarding actual real "news" that I guess "media" isn't allowed to talk about. And DC's list of banned folks gets longer and longer...and I suppose we're all getting a peek at why our media kisses his ring on the daily. This sport sometimes....🙄

You are missing the point and it’s going over your head. All of these tracks are having problems keeping Insurance. I know Washougal already had problems years back. Slowie posts a video where no one got hurt and says guess what they are hiding this from you, a bike went flying into fans. What do you think his intention is, or is he that dense? It’s unfortunate that insurance companies are looking for any reason to cancel you but this kind of shit just doesn’t help, especially when everyone was okay. He shows drunk people in the pits doing stupid shit. He’s asking girls to flash him and posting it.
It’s ruining it for everyone, the fans that go, the tracks and the promoters. He doesn’t want to act like a real media outlet, so he doesn’t get treated like one. It’s pretty simple.

I’m not bashing, I’m pointing out one of the reasons he’s been barred for.
That’s completely fair, insurance is so expensive for so many tracks and as much as I like to think these companies aren’t watching Slowie’s films they’re definitely not aiding the cause. I still think a lifetime ban is excessive, and I don’t think he really intends to be treated like a normal media outlet, more of a buttery films style vlog type thing, but some of the beauty of going to a national is witnessing all these crazy things and being like “you just had to be there”. It’s so stupid. Unfortunately it seems most sports have this issue with media. Football is the worst with media beefing.
What? God I swear the "fans" of this sport that flock to people like "slowie" and all the horesehit fake youtube moto channels are all the same.
Everything is a massive conspiracy, we are going to show the "REAL TRUTH", all the negative bullshit gets so old. Also this fan base is all made up of people who mostly never fucking raced in their lives and probably dont even own a fucking dirtbike.
And this is coming from someone who has been extremely critical of tim cotter and mx sports lol.
He was showing a lot more of the "party atmosphere" in the pits, particularly at Red Bub. Sponsors, investors, and insurance companies see those videos and then that has an effect on MX sport's bottom line. Slowie only has about 20K subscribers, and Cooksey has 41K, but in a sport like MX that is enough to drive a media story.
In many ways Youtube and social media has really saved the sport SX and MX, but it has also been a double sided sword in some instances.
FYI: Every single thing on YouTube is just for clicks and views. Nobody posts something and hopes that it gets ignored.
The biggest problem with Cooksey and Slowie is they seem to want to take down MX Sports but have no idea what they are doing. If Cooksey was smart, he would have spent time putting together all of his so-called evidence while he was still allowed in and then posted a big expose, or the better and less greasy way would be to try to post articles and videos that encouraged slight change while keeping in the good graces. Instead, he went scorched earth and posts some true stuff that is messed up along with stupid ass made up and not researched lies like when he accused Jeffery of being a pedo. After that stunt he's dead to me.
Slowie was going down the path of being a Cooksey-lite and they nipped it at the bud.
