They already tried that….the rumored GH National from a couple years ago was going to be run by Myron/2X, basically renting GH for the event but it still fell apart…

I’m so over the Glen Helen national talk. The track isn’t even that great. Better than Pala sure but yall act like it’s red bud.

I think only to people in California. Maybe in person it’s a great track to view. Hell even on tv I have no complaints. I just don’t think it’s worth all the hoopla: No hate com’s as Keefer says.

I only raced GH once in 88 at a local race, it was very cool. That was before Roger held the mxgp there I believe. As to how it ranks compared to other tracks, that would be a great question to ask Tallon Vohland as he raced tracks around the world. I dont know what the top 10 all time moments at GH are, but, Vohland on the FMF Honda has to be up there. One of Racer X best covers I think.
The Glen Hellen elevation changes at steep angles was epic.

Agree on the Glen Helen talk. Only because its never going to happen and its pointless. Also Red Bud is overrated.
Absolutely no national at Glen Helen. Or the south east. Or reasonable parity rules between two and four strokes. No possoble way to accomplish that or any of the multitude of things fans bicker and clamor that they feel is wrong.
Have you raced GH? I’m over the talk as well but to pretend it’s not a top tier track is wild. Sure it has different soil but it’s world class in testing you.
Glen Helen Nationals were badass, too. If they ever had a National again I would come from the east coast to attend
What does me racing it have to do with anything? Isn’t this thread about the national being at GH? I think it’s nostalgic, and would be better than pala but the hype doesn’t match the track from my perspective. When it was on the schedule I didn’t look forward to it like some of the other nationals. It was just mid for me.
Pala is such a crappy track. It’s too man made. Anything to have Glen Helen back. It’s a real motocross track and a man’s track at that. So epic.
