It is funny considering his decision to ride for GBR was made at least partly because he felt he could place higher in the standings. Personally I owe the Canuck team a huge apology, much like the US team of last year they did incredibly well with a team that very few thought ( myself included) would even make the A final. Sorry Boys, you did Canada very proud.

The first part of the OP's user name says it all. Nutty, as in "I'm not right in the head".

I'm sure Dean is more than happy living in California, riding for one of the best teams in the industry. You're right, he's not Canadian, so get off his case about choosing to ride for his HOME country.

Your math sucks, go back to school. Out of all the Canadian team only one rider in one moto placed in the top 20 (Kyle). Jeremy didn't even finish the last moto. You don't speak for the rest of Canada, just another eastern bandwagon jumper.

Maybe refer to the results page to see the team totals and what scores counted against the final results. Results

Let me explain how the scoring works for you. I will try and use small words so you can understand.

The scoring for the event works on the position system, i.e. first place is awarded one point, second place two, etc. Each class (currently MX1, MX2 and Open) races twice, each time against one of other two classes, for a total of three races. The worst score of three races is dropped, and the lowest combined score wins. One thing that I see that most people don't understand is that each class is not scored separately, so even though Dean was second in his class for each moto he adds a 6 and 8 to the teams total score, his position in the moto.

You can refer to this article from racer X for an example of how the scoring is done.

So as you can see, unless you are a complete idiot and jury is still out on that one, Canada would have still been in the exact position in the standing unless GB's replacement DNFed both motos. In general, though no disrespect to our boy they rode their hearts out, but they would have dragged Dean down.

Interesting enough the Red Bull page has the wrong final total for Canada and in reality the total should be 119 for 16th. OCScottie posted the correct results in this thread. http://www.vitalmx.com/forums/MotoRelated,20/Team-results,1078035

So Dean would have help our results, but no where near 4th. See Nutters you're not the only one bad at math, Red Bull has some issues too.

Exactly, do you think that if Kyle or Zack had the opportunity to represent the US they would keep riding for PR. Dean had the passport and used it to his advantage last year, this year he was able to represent the country where he was born. I say good for him.

California is a country now? Does he have a Californian passport? Being Canadian I have no problem with Dean riding for GB. My only problem with Dean is the way he used Canada as a stepping stone on the world stage last year when GB didn't have a clue who he was. I don't think people realize how much it costs to send a team to the MXoN. In Canada's case its mostly made up of donated funds by the Canadian motocross community. And some really good people put in alot of work to raise this money. I also have a problem with the way he played up his Canadian status at the Toronto SX and then distanced himself from Canada the rest of the season. Deano seems to use his Canadian status when it's convenient for him. Deano still rides in the states under a Canadian passport with a US work visa. Sometimes I think he forgets that. Can you imagine up here if a Canadian hockey player did that. There would be a media lynch mob and I'm not kidding. Hey I still cheer for the kid, he's my favorite rider but it is what it is. Just my two cents.

I hope so too, that old sandbagger Ratray shouldn't be in that class trying to steal titles from teenagers, especially a squeaky one, Smile

You wouldn't see him for the flames on his way back to cow town if they brought in the US army draft.

You're the biggest moron on here, for sure! The draft?! WTF did that come from? You think that's possible even with TWO wars winding down, not to mention they didn't have a draft after 9/11 or Iraq?

And why did you edit you're original post?

I hope Dean does some burnouts in your backyard.
