Of course I don't know Brian Deegan personally. However, I do know one aspect of how he's raising his kids - monetising their upbringing via social media channels. I personally don't agree with that. I also know that Brian's whole career has been based on trying to cause shit - for publicity. I also don't like that. The whole 'Merica thing against the Lawrences was probably the most distasteful of his antics, but it's one among many.
Even if someone is a nice person privately that doesn't excuse what they do for income and what they're prepared to do for that income. I would also argue the fact Brian is willing to do what he does for publicity indicates a person of dubious character.
I'm quaking in my boots. My preference would be to see any of those phoneys from Metal Mulisha in an actual cell block or yard of a California state prison. That would be hilarious.
Reputation doesn't cease to be a thing simply because you're a public figure. They've both had plenty of time to build reputations for themselves if you've paid any attention.
They work their asses off, they're ruthless, and Brian is shrewd. Doesn't make them good people in my book. And I happen to share quite a few political views with them, I'm sad to say.

Not being a fan and forming a negative opinion is one thing going over the top the way Hair Licker does with personal attacks on the riders and their families (not named Jett) and his over the top gay sexual comments is what everyone finds offensive.

Yup! I remember back when Piru was Maxx Track and my dad was helping run it, there was a guy on an all black 97-99 CR250 doing heel clickers on the finish line table. He'd pull right off, jump back on in the corner before, cutting guys off and do it again. All of those people listed are riders or directly involved in the sport - with the exception of Hailie Deegan and her mother. I've literally never mentioned Hailie until this post. As for the Lawrences, I posted on how I thought Jett should have raced all the races at the AusX Open. I also posted that Jett should have addressed his N-bomb comments earlier than he did. Apart from that, if they actually do something on or off track worth critiquing, I'll do it.
I Remember in the early 2000's when Crusty Demons came to Sydney, Was the year Deegan turned up in a Army tank.. They held an afterparty and a few crusty Demons members ended up getting their head punched in by a few old fellas for doing their whole tough guy clown act at the pub.

First, I think there is a distinction between using gay sexual references in jest and objecting to Pride Month. But I do take your point. As for being a keyboard warrior, I'd happily say this stuff to the rider's faces - if they show up to Australia. As for attacking their appearances, I'm not attacking them apropos of nothing. When I call Cooper Webb a fat slob it's directly related to my larger criticism of elite millionaire athletes showing up out of shape. Perhaps you think that's fine?
