My first National in some time - had fun racing Matthes (racing maybe not the right word lol) but highlight was ladies moto's on both amateur and national day......the girls put on a show. Racine impressed also....he's had some bike problems on early rounds so was nice to see him have a great day - if he get's a start at SDL he could grab that podium. Huge fan turnout was great to see.

How did Wright run out of gas in one moto there?
I think it was mechanical. He won moto 2.
Wright had to stop for goggles and fuel. He broke his carbon fiber tank in the first moto. Can't believe they didn't have a spare? Had to run a stock tank in moto 2. Had such a huge lead it didn't matter.

When he's on, he's on. Seems like that crash at Lethbridge last year really knocked the hell out of him for a long time. Hopefully the real D Wright is back.
Seeing this clip, seems like fuel stops might be a cool thing. Would probably be a cool gimmick for about a week and a half and get old, though.
Damn that had some built up pressure in it. Do the gas caps they use not vent air at all? Seems like it's make the gas tank alot more susceptible to cracking in a crash with all that pressure built up on a hot day.
Stock tank and cap. I guess running wide open for 20-25 minutes will do that. Needed a quick fill cap off-road style.

My passport is expired now . I did back to back runs to Ontario or Quebec tanker of chocolate or veg oils. Getting back into America can be more difficult. I had to report to a warehouse where they search the cab & mt tanker. I had to sit in a stone block wall room like a jail cell while they did there thing. I could here the stainless doors slam on the 3 domes , hoses hit the floor etc. when I got back to our tank wash in Elkhorn,wi. . Tank wash kid & mechanic wouldn’t stop laughing at me . I said what’s so funny then they said your mustache , you look ? Like a French spy . Haha I never tried growing 1 again. M&m mars in New Market always gave me 2 boxes of milky ways fresh off the line . Cadbury chocolate factory in Quebec City was in a residential neighborhood like they usually r . Tight property I,m backing to get inside the bldg . The Hot French women walking there poodles would walk under the tanker . They gave me a bunch of candy bars too. The Canadian co.s always did.

Ride with him every Wednesday on a sand turn track. If you’re up for it let me know and I can hook you up, it’s by New London. If you can ride it for 15-20 minutes you can do any local race without fading. Tomorrow conditions will be perfect with the rain we’ve been getting. Usually this time of the year it’s dry and miserable riding it.

Rapids & rode the sx track . Because I hv mid to hard tires on . Fun track no rest on that one hadn’t rode sand in 20+ yrs basically hv to relearn how to ride it. I burned my clutch up & crashed 5 or 7 times. There’s a short whoop section that matches Millville good & the clay jumps match it a bit. I might ride there this week instead . Get the bike tuned & suspension. Waiting now for a storm to pass. Everything is last second here. I did call Millville you can watch sat & race Sunday . Fri looks like storms I don’t feel like sitting Fri in the rain. Too much rain lately. I know I won’t get much practice so the race will be learning the track. I just want to be there & don’t care about finish positions.

#285 is hardcore Luke just did Gopher dunes . Track looks Awesome. I was actually sick yet this morning from my injection. Then struggled 4 1/2 hrs changing tires . I did find out about another private sand track in Dykesville . I,ll get up early & finish the bike work . If it goes well I,m riding at Wi. Rapids tomorrow. The sx track has similarities to Millville like 7 whoops rt then left & a hump. Like Millville,s exit of the whoops. I want to get in shape & get the bike dialed.
