I really like Jorge as a person, I want to see him do well and respect the gamble he made to come over here.

However, I have to say I am a bit turned off by how he is handling these issues. There seems to be little accountability on his end that he made the choice to come to a new country on an entirely new bike, in a series that has more limitations on what they can do to the bike, on a team that is known for not meeting the demands of some riders bike-wise.

Unless the team overpromised specific things they aren't delivering, this is more on him than the team IMO and he seems to think the bike is the only thing holding him back.

That’s where I’m at too. I was pumped for him to go green because I’m a kawi homer. He seems like he has no accountability to his own limitations of learning a new bike.

I feel like Jorge is crapping in his own nest. I would imagine that no factory OEM team...especially the tech end of the team, appreciates a rider that openly complains about the bike non-stop that they have prepared for him to race. I wouldn't think that's a way to get team management to back you 100% in your endeavor to win races, or at least get on a few podiums...which i would think Prado is paid very well to do.

He won the qualifying race and beat Hunter in the first moto.

And then?… he specifically claimed that he would be winning on another bike. How about the rest of the guys that were on track? Eli? Jett?..

Prado is not in a position to make that claim without people questioning it.

Yea idk if maybe hes wasnt aware of the different team dynamics in the US, but any random person on vital could have warned jorge that kawi was an inflexible team that hasnt had much success in recent years (a lot of it their own fault). They kind of remind me of yamaha before star took over or ktm before chase got there. They seem stuck in their ways and they also dont come across as a team that is willing to do ANYTHING to help their guys win. Plus the starting point with the kx450 is already starting toward the back half of the pack before anything is even done to it.

Let me ask this one question. What rider has moved to the US kawi 450 program and gotten better? Tomac was an absolute freaking diabolical evil genius on the honda that rode like jett lawrence mixed with beast mode in 2015. Went to the kx450 and yea he won titles as a result of how good he is and how long he was there, but how many weirdo rides, dnf’s, and championships were left on the table there? When he moved to yamaha he immediately improved won everything and looked better than he had since the honda. Jason anderson had that one sx season where he won a bunch in the later half of the season, but besides that hes looked like a shell of himself. Chad reed was ok on the kawi, but never won any championships. The one guy that really made it work was RV and that was a long time ago and he never rode any different bike. Going to be interesting when chase goes over…

ALL THAT makes me wonder why a smart guy (supposedly) like Sexton would take a chance of flushing his potential championship contending future by signing with Kawasaki. Aside from the money end of things...it makes no sense, at least from my "outside looking in" position.

We still don't know for sure where Sexton is going.

Same.  In his interview with Pulp after the race he seemed to blame the bike for his crashes even.

I was blown away how much talked about the bike holding him back throughout the whole interview.

Certain fans is impossible to satisfy, it's the ones constantly finding something to complain about.

If its the bike its the bike. Full stop. No one wants to hear anything about who is to claim at this point or who takes responsibility this and responsibility that?!

Last thing I want to hear is "I need to get better and learn the bike", if that is not the case. Fucking hate those non-answers to what is going to resolve this situation.

If he would, could or wanted to adapt and that was the solution he would say that. For him now, it's the bike that needs to get better. Then he should say that and not some typical BS US-rider talk about "we need to get better". Speak your mind please, it's makes it easier for everyone!

This is the inside shit we want, what is the actual situation, and it took a non-us rider to get us there. Tomac was 3 or 4 years of mystery. WTF?  Stop bitching when we finally get that.

This is typical imho about someone not being comfortable and dont trust the bike.

When track is less rough it works, one heater works.

Can give bursts of speed, but can't withhold it for a longer time, takes energy and focus.

We can debate if that is right or wrong, who's fault it is.

What is positive for the series is that if you would put him in the KTM, he would have yarded Tomac and been up there with Jett if you look at how poorly he looked compared to much rougher tracks in MXGP.

So he is perfect and it’s just the bike? Come on. I’m not saying he should say the bike is perfect but zero chance this is 100% bike like Prado is saying. I also don’t think it’s 100% Prado. It’s embarrassing when a grown man takes no accountability. We definitely live in a world where we are always pushing the blame and I can see that’s your philosophy as well.

Maybe he honestly feels he’s good enough to win and the bike is not. And he’s just blunt with what he thinks is the truth.

Maybe he’s right. He has a lot of experience. Maybe he’s delusional. Who knows.

Come on... He thinks he can win and that's about it. If he didn't think he could beat Jett he wouldn't have packed up his shit in Europe moved his entire family to the US...

So you actually think one of the best and fastest mx riders, just instead could adjust his attitude and we would be pretty much all good? 😂

You can have that argument for a weekend warrior. On someone that would put 30+ sec a lap if not more on most pretty much everyone in here, i think couch potatoses need to stay humble and rethink if you actually has a valid argument or not.

From what i know, it has never ever happened in the modern day mx history that a top 5 or even 10 rider has taken accountability, adjusted his attitude and went back to winning or podiums.

Never the less number 1 or 2 rider in the world. I don't want to here a single word about "accountability", that's a blame game and useless spend of energy and not anywhere does that take you fwd. That can be discussed after this topic is closed.

This is the inside, filtered but pretty raw.

Agree to disagree on accountability. Neither of us will change our mind. Either way I hope Prado gets it figured out and can race up front soon.

Thats what I’m wondering and it seems like a lot of people are wondering. Chase seems to always think that if only he could go to some mythical perfect bike that everything would be great. The worst part is that he keeps jumping the gun and signing to other teams while hes figuring out his bike, and then they figure it out and he looks amazing but is already going to a different brand.

He looks as goood as hes ever looked on the ktm now. No bike is going to give him that extra 1% because his problems are always mental lapses or bad race raft (like going for the win and crashing with the overall wrapped up). Plus he wanted to be the #1 guy so he left honda and now hes going to be sharing the top spot with prado. It makes 0 sense.

I sincerely hope it works out and hes good enough to win on anything, but it always takes him 1 year of struggling to get the bike figured out so hes throwing away yet another year in his prime to take a massive gamble on a mid team. If he just buckled down with the ktm and kept building with the team hed be much stronger next year with another year with the team under his belt. Its frustrating.

This whole situation is above my motocross IQ. I thought all these guys were so good and there was no such thing as a "bad" Factory bike. I'm a squid vet rider who blames my lack of A-kit for being slow lol. I would think this is just some kind of mental block with him but, like I said, I'm a know nothing. I know it will look really bad if Cairoli beats him at Red Bud on the Ducati. I'm listening to him on Pulp and it sounds like its a stock bike and he not allowed Factory suspension for some reason? He might have A-kit, at the most

Look, I think it is awesome he made the leap of faith to come and race SX/MX-took some serious balls and I don't think he gets enough credit for this. I was a fan of his in MXGP and when he made the commitment to come and take on an entirely new sport in SX, along with MX, that was more than enough to make me a bigger fan. This past weekend was a huge jump for him and he showed top 3 speed. I want him to succeed and I want to see the Cohen Bros come over and DeWolf too. I want them all to come over! Makes the competition richer and tougher. Let's be grateful he had the courage to come over-99% haven't.

I WAS ALMOST tempted to fly out to red bud and attend this race.  Im guessing hotels are impossible to find at this point.

And my home track, Millville, I have to fricking work that day.  Its messed up!
