What the fuck does Tony Allessi have to do with this?

You said something stupid, I gave a bunch of relevant examples of how it was stupid.  So you said something more stupid?

That's cringey.

Go ahead little buddy, lets see what the fuck else random shit you can come up with to keep running your mouth about the Deegans.

Haiden due to downvotes

See interview on SML. Deegan just spent a fair portion of it blowing himself about appearing on Sportcenter and having 1.8 million followers. Lewis Hamilton has 39.6 million instagram followers. Also, he said going on Sportcenter was more important than going to 'some fashion show'. Ah no, I think you'll find if you want to grow the sport - in terms of getting it out to the mainstream - the Met Gala is a much bigger deal than Arsecentre. Haiden's head is even bigger than Brian's tramp stamp.

Oh Hairlicker your obsession is just so darn cute....

While I agree that Ama and Ama Pro Racing have different job duties they are entangled with each other considering you have to have a AMA membership to race an Ama sanctioned event or even get mechanic credentials! They are definitely in bed with each other!

They are the same, they just separated because the AMA is non-profit and proracing makes a profit. "oh wow, real money to be made here"But we're non-profit"Not...

"oh wow, real money to be made here"

But we're non-profit

"Not a problem, we'll just separate the two"

Wrong...They are completely different entities, AMA in Ohio is non-profit and AMA Pro Racing is for profit and owned by DMG in Daytona (who bought the rights in 2008). They own all the rights to professional motorcycle racing in the US and lease the rights to the entities that promote each series....and in MX that's MXSports.

AMA Pro Racing was formed in 1994 to respond to the growth of motorcycle racing in the United States and holds many events. The AMA Road Racing Series includes the AMA American Superbike Championship, the AMA Daytona Sportbike Championship (which incorporates the former AMA Supersport Championship and the now inactive AMA Formula Xtreme), and the new AMA Supersport Championship, which is limited to riders of age 16-21 on near stock 600cc motorcycles.

Off-road racing series include AMA Grand National Championship, AMA Supercross, AMA Motocross Championship, AMA Hillclimb, AMA Supermoto Championship and AMA EnduroCross Championship.

On March 7, 2008, the AMA Pro Racing series was sold to the Daytona Motorsports Group (DMG), headed by Roger Edmondson and Jim France. The DMG became responsible for the AMA Superbike Series, AMA Motocross Series, AMA Flat Track Series, AMA Supermoto Series, AMA Hillclimb Series, and ATV Pro Racing. The sale did not include the AMA Supercross and AMA Arenacross Series, whose rights are currently owned by Feld Entertainment. DMG would license the AMA name and trademarks to promote the motorcycle racing series.[9][10][11] The new management sparked criticism among some of the press and fans for allegedly alienating the factory teams [12][13] and for introducing NASCAR style rules such as rolling start and pace car.[14] DMG was replaced by MotoAmerica as AMA Superbikes promoter in 2015.

Thank you for posting this.

People today need to know and understand the history of the SX and MX sport.

They also need to know the Coombs clan walked into the meeting as “representatives for the NPG” - National Promotors Group (every one of national promoter tracks) against the FIM on bidding for the Pro Outdoor Nationals and when they walked out neither NPG of FIM won the bid. MXSports Coombs owned the rights to the Pro Motocross Outdoor Nationals.

You really think going to the Met Gala is bigger for the sport than getting on Sportscenter???  Beside from people in the industry and the blogs his team paid to write articles, did anyone even know he was there?  At the Met Gala they only care about the A-list celebs, even when LH44 pulls up they don’t really care.

The "AMA", the broad association that provides AMA cards to public members, is not "AMA Pro Racing", which is a separate entity in, basically, the same building. (Yeah. It was always confusing to me, too.) Not sure of the limits to their participation after Feld took over. But I was reminded they were "different" every time I tried to lump them together.

You think it’s not? SportsCenter has been declining for a little over a decade and the Met Gala transcends Moto. If Jett and Haiden’s roles were reversed I would say the same thing. Either way mainstream exposure is good for racing

His one-sided conflicts he starts with people are so embarrassing. Taking shots at Jett while bragging about followers is 10th grade behavior

While I'd agree that sportscenter isn't what it was in the heyday,  the met gala transcending moto is a pretty out there take.

I'd challenge you to head to any track anywhere in the world and attempt to start a discussion on said event and see how that goes.

Oh yeah, well Cristiano Ronaldo has 659 Million Instagram followers.   What do you say about that?

That’s a good retort, not many discuss that with any regularity but my track dawg and I were talking about how long until Jett transforms into a star bigger than motocross after we saw he was at the Met so I guess that counts

What exposure did Jett get while at the Met?  The only people who even noticed he was there was the moto media.  While SportsCenter is declining it's still putting a sport in front of sport viewers.

AMA Mission: To promote the motorcycle lifestyle and protect the future of motorcycling.

How the eff do you promote and protect the future of motorcycling without actively promoting motorcycling through MEDIA? The AMA is, and I've said it before...fkng useless. They are an organization whose #1 goal is getting paying memberships/licenses to keep the machine going and a REAL distant second is protecting the future of the sport.
