Recently tried out some factory effex grip tape. Is this stuff supposed to be single use? I’ve gone through 3 sheets already and they seem to last one practice day for me. I fully cleaned my number plates and pressed out any air bubbles, and they are still fully peeled off after 2-3 motos. I’m going to try skateboard grip tape because I know the adhesive is stronger.

I have never found a grip tape that stays more than a few rides. Skateboard works but wears boots prematurely.
I figured it would, I have Sidi boots so I can replace the calf area thankfully.
The skateboard tape will wear the shit out of your boots extremely fast. Ace Hardware sells the grey rubberized anti-slip tape by the foot, $2.99 I believe, make a template and keep a few on hand. Its the same thing all these other aftermarket manufactures use and charge you out the ass for.
That grey rubberized stuff is what I prefer. I would typically get 2 or 3 GNCC races (3 hour) on one application.

I've had a similar experience with the different grip tapes.
The acerbis frame guards have been the best solution I've found, but effectiveness varies by model due to frame shape and size.
Stegz Pegz are good if you can get the location dialed.
I've also cut pieces from a bicycle tire and used zipties to secure the tire piece around the frame or subframe. It looks retarded but it works reasonably well.
I use skateboard tape, but the rubberized. I've had good luck with dkl brand. Lasts about 3 ride days.
try the clear cats tongue tape off of amazon. Just like you said though, it tears off after a day of riding.

I used those. You have to take them off before you wash the bike. They trap dirt, and they'll grind up an aluminum frame of you don't keep after it
I applied a liberal amount of RTV silicone on the back of the guard during installation, helps adhere the guard to the frame and fills the space so no dirt can intrude.
stompgrip The only stuff I use anymore over my graphic areas. For the frame I use the vibram grip tape. I can go a season on the same set of these and they are rubber so they dont tear anything up.
3M Safety Walk is as good as it gets.
If you clean the surface with alcohol or acetone it helps.
Apply the tape using a heat gun and roller, it will resist peeling up far better.
Ultimately grip tape just doesn't last long on a motocross bike.
