I think black with yellow trim would look sick.

Black frame, black plastic with a bit of yellow, gold rims/forks.

I've always been a fan of the Yamaha blue. More black and less silver, IMO. However, the baby blue and black is a pretty sweet color...

I was just thinking about what everyone in the pits at a race in 1981 would of thought if this bike showed up. lol Back to the future stuff.

Why did that question and answer enter my head? Better yet why did I type it?

I'm not Lowery, but Heikki Mikkola was 4 time world champ and a serious bad ass, Bob H was no slouch either.

Oberdan Bezzi (Italian Designer) did the original concept retro on a 2009 YZ450f which you can find in this link....

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=553052

Then I added the 250 two-stroke and part of the frame by using a simple cut and paste program called "Snagit".

FIFIFO, did you consider he NEEDS to run those #-plate colours for the class he races in??? Not always just a fashion show, dude - you should know that.....

An all black SDG seat would be nice on there, but otherwise, I did the look of that bike.

I always think about that kind of stuff...

Imagine rolling into WWII with an Abrams tank?

Imagine having a machine gun in the Dark Ages....you could have solo conquered the world.

I wasn't born until '83 but I imagine the result would have been similar if you showed up with that puppy then.

muckbucket: Your bike looks aggressive! Very nice details and good way to incorperate the speedblocks!

I would love to see how a red seat would look on that bike, as it was half the thing on my YZ125 (bad picture).

Anyone who's good at photoshop and can do a red seat on muckbuckets YZF?

Yep, I ride Vet B class so i am required to have yellow backgrounds with black numbers.

I have considered getting a black or red seat for the bike.

I'm not usually one to bitch about bikes being ugly, I can usually find something cool to admire in every bike and ignore the rest. Case in point, I thought the old Kawis with the number plate on the rear fender that everyone hated had a certain uniqueness and charm.

That being said, the new Yamahas are so ugly it really does not matter if they are yellow, white, or blue. If they are not going to do something to clean up the looks, go with black so at least its fuglyness is hidden.

I wonder if Yamaha, KTM, Kawasaki or Suzuki's sales would be at where Honda's are, if their bikes where red like Honda's?

Also if Honda's bikes we're yellow would they still be there the sales leaders?

Post a reply to: Yamaha should change their color?
