I've been in the Industry for over 30 years. My year and a half at ALTA was amazing! The bike, the company and most importantly the people were rad. Trailblazer's. Full of energy, passionate and smart.

I had been with Parts Unlimited for 28 years and left for ALTA. Was at PU and part of the THOR purchase, and them joining SX along with a host of other things at the Aftermarket giant. Had some really good years good decades there. Then came an culture shift in the teens. I stayed for a few years after the shirt then started looking. Had a few offers on the table and then I got a call from a track owner that was an Angel Investor at ALTA. He set up the interview and I jumped on board. No regrets, great memories!

ALTA Co-Founder Marc Fenigstein finally shares the details of the Harley and BRP Acquisition.

Watched this yesterday, all I knew prior was the Fortnine take and what was public.

This was WILD.

A ) can't wait for Pt 2
B ) we got robbed as consumers
C ) really shows the big difference with Stark is Anton's corporate experience (actually sounds similar to yours)
D ) HD can suck it. Truly. The millions they spent just to burn something great down over what amounts to ego, while their own house burned in the fire - unreal

watching Harley finally go bankrupt because of their ineptness will be pretty satisfying.

The only downside will be the dealers investments in upgrades demanded by h-d never getting a return.

I have to admit i still have a brand new Alta MXR and finally about to ride it. I dislocated my elbow before I bought it and had problems recovering and then hurricanes and bust my ass 18 hours a day and trying to get my house repaired and sold but I built a tabletop and then a double last week and today I cleared all the rocks and cacti off the area so I might ride it tomorrow. I used to ride more than anyone so it blows all my friends and family away that I have land and a tractor and have not been riding at all. I think I've been in a bit of depression since hurricanes, covid and my best friend and life long riding partner dieing. Life just hasn't been the same since I guess.

The product was good, the market opportunity was there. And now we have the Stark Varg which is basically the same thing.
