Lots of strategy on their part to create hype and perception. Lots of threads and opinions. I simply want to know the results of this poll and so, here it is.
Poll
I fuck with his riding , homeboy is a BEAST! I just think its hilarious errybody blows up & have a meltdown when he gets on the mic or him taking no prisoners out there on the track , all his lil antics & phrases he does on the mic doesn’t phase me cause I seen it & heard it all before
I think he’s a beast as well and a great rider but that’s not my criteria for being a fan of a rider. I look for more then that. Deegan is too much of an act for me to fully get behind.
Big fan of what he can do on the bike, one of the most entertaining riders we have seen. Also the lack of fear and willingness to send sections nobody else does (Ironman finish jump for example) is insane. That's about it though.
All the cringy shit off the track is probably the product of a kid that got his camera stuffed into his face since he's been a little one, always expected to deliver some content for the camera in any way. He's probably not a bad dude, just comes across very fake in some way.
The sheer hate and dislikes from some people whenever his name gets mentioned is kinda funny though.
I feel yal , maybe I just look at like growing up I played football with ppl tht act like haiden , I had boxed & train mma with ppl tht act like haiden so maybe thts why i just shrug my shoulders & laugh it off at the antics he does but errybody is different, 1 thing i will say & I say this all the time in my ufc podcast as a disclaimer , I kno these guys is just goona say & do some dumb shit on the mic or social media just to promote the fight & sells tickets so I’m only a fan of wht they do in competition , same thing for moto for me , its wht u do on the racetrack in competition

Fan of Deegan the person and obviously his riding. Especially outdoors. Kid is an Animal. He doesn’t always say the right thing, but it is entertaining and I consider his age.
to add on , I do understand yal side of things tho cause I had a new subscriber dm me & we was chatting it up for a few & this can go for any sport & athlete but he told me the trash talking & all the antics do get exhausting after a while cause its not really authentic & especially if ur super talented , the fans already kno how good u is so let ur skills & talent do all the talking , cause if ur good , ppl are goona spend money & time to watch u perform anyway
None of the choices fit me as I'm a reluctant fan. Overwhelming respect for what Haiden can do on a bike and I also don't think he's bad guy. It doesn't surprise me that the Deegans helped Cole with transport. I don't think they are trashy people. Myself, never, ever into the Metal Mulisha stuff, but I have so much respect for what Brian has built and done for his family.
Me being a fan should be "low-hanging fruit easy", but Haiden tries SO hard to get a rise out of people that it feels like WWE. It's weird because he's naturally a witty kid, good on camera when he's not playing "Haiden from Hell" with his tongue hanging down to his waist, lol! Cheapens the brand, but you cannot fake what he does when the gate drops. Dude has skills, puts in the work and gets results.
Yea I can appreciate his talent. But I’ll have a hard time getting behind him. He’s like a Paul brother to me. So concerned about all the noise around the actual competition.
that’s a big part of why I like Eli so much. Dude is just all business. He’s been one of the baddest motherfuckers on a bike and he lets that do the talking.
Haiden is just to fake / inconsistent for me. He plays the church/choir boy card when he’s not winning and becomes a cocky little shit when he is. Pick a lane and stick to it.
yeaaa I kno I prolly get on a lot of Eli fanbase nerves on this forum with my Eli takes 😂 but for wht he is , Eli is a cool cat 👌🏾 brotha is just straightforward , too himself & don’t bother nobody
Where's the option for: "Love watching this kid ride a bike, but tune out when he's speaking."
This is rather telling.
Ok, this is ‘only’ a poll on a forum and is small numbers of people, but its likely to represent a trend across the globe.
So yeah, there are enough fans to buy the merch, watch the videos and make HD money, but imagine if everyone was a fan what it it be then?
Does anyone know what the age is when the excuse of “consider his age” or “he’s young and will figure it out” becomes irrelevant? Just like to make a mental note for the future.
🤦♂️🤦♂️ good dig
Hes a great rider, i like that. I also like to laugh at the people that think you can buy his level of skill and heart. I also think hes a douche, and his dads a douche. But with that being said, some of the most successful people in the world are douches also. It is what it is, watch the races and be entertained, thats my plan anyway
What's interesting is all the kids younger than him that act twice his age. hmm.
I personally think he will go to the 450s and stop winning. Then he will be humble.. he then might start winning after a while and might stay humble.
We will have to wait and see.
Always remember Deegan(s) are the beneficiaries of their own paid for marketing campaign AND Monster’s.
Together that’s an incredible amount of marketing. Monster has Deegan’s & Hodges in 7-11 displays nationwide.
That has nothing to do real popularity
Great rider and would probably have more fans if he didn't try so hard to be the new J-law while everyone knows he's a silverspoon kid from California.
Pit Row
I agree, but I can say that for every rider...
Haiden reminds me of 2 people in some ways: Bob Hannah and Dale Earnhardt.
Bob was brash in MX / SX at a time when people weren't so soft. He often rubbed people the wrong way, including me. But his drive to win was undeniable. The aura he brought to the race was palpable. If you loved the sport back then, you had to respect that.
Dale was, well, Dale. Unlike anybody else. People literally loved him and hated him with a passion. He would literally move you out of the way and didn't care who he pissed off in the process. Drive to win was off the charts and interviews were legendary. He made NASCAR what it was and since his passing that sport has nearly died with him.
In the 90's, like many, I did NOT like Brian at all...I think many people are still carrying that and attach it to Haiden.
I have to appreciate the excitement and interest that Haiden is bringing to the races and the sport itself, even if I wouldn't do it that way.
My opinion he would have a lot more fans if he acted normal. I can see right through his fake character. If he really was a bad boy I think it might be different. I'll say one thing though, I'm shocked at how soft and bothered guys get when he starts his rival or whatever with them. I hate to be the guy saying the kids are soft now or its homeschooling and training facilities but something isn't adding up. Growing up playing sports you might have a kid try and act like that for a few months before someone leveled him. These guys seem to just cower to him. Guys that acted like that in sports would be the major target and the majority of people would go after them even if they were half the skill or size. So thats something that I do find impressive about him but I'm shocked and in disbelief guys let it happen. I'm seeing so many talented tough young kids in high-school football that I think it has got to be homeschooling and not much interaction with other youth. Look at a little guy like webb he went to public school and doesn't take crap from anyone.
Always a fan of Haiden and his old man. These guys put on a great show on and off the bike.
It's not like we're homeboys grillin and chillin on the weekend.
He brought all the softies out of the woodworks. Really makes you recognize who the “new” fans are, or people who bought their first dirtbike within the last couple years. Just go ahead and say you aren’t core…
For everyone talking about his age, he gets this stuff straight from his dad. Brian has been doing this stuff his entire life and passed it down to his son. Brian made a career out of this persona and now it’s Haiden’s turn. I was never a fan of it with Brian and I’m still not with Haiden. My opinion may differ from yours, but that’s why it’s an opinion.
Look man, the 450 class will be sunlight on this septic character. Nowhere to hide when that day comes and even the doping wont fix a riding style that will spit him off a 450 in a bad way if he tries to keep up with Jett/Chase when they're at 10/10ths. If he has a 450 career like Barcia than he's lucky. Bear in mind Joey Savatgy qualified 2nd fastest last year at the first 250 National?? There is a big difference in speed/talent right now between 250 and 450 (and its kind of ignored I feel) as Jett raised the bar to another stratosphere in the 450 class and the entire 450 field has basically upped their game big time in response, in the meantime you got DNGRGRL getting a big head struggling his way to a 250 SX title and then doping his way to 2 outdoor titles - and yes I voted for option 4 like 60% of you above🤣
I was wondering when someone was going to suggest Haiden is doping and there it is.
I was thinking when I logged in this morning how we needed another Deegan thread..
You don't need a VitalMx poll- A bunch of salty older guys on VitalMx does not representative reality...Reality is the large crowd around him in the pits. Reality is the millions of Deegan followers..
Yup they have always been a shining example of honest competing right? No track cutting? Never refused to hand over a motor at an amateur race following a legal protest? I have said he is doping in a couple of posts & it gets the Bedbugs real tight for some reason, what he lacks in speed/talent he always manages to get to the front late in a race, casuals scream "dawg" and "heart" but I know WTF im looking at 🤫. andd before Magoofball comes in here saying "everyone does it" - yeah well they aint doing it to the level the Kardeegians are. Put him on a non Yamaha 250 bike and normal Lactate Threshold and he'll be where he belongs, look man if he goes 450 and wins consistently ill be here eating murders of crow, until then just downvote me into oblivion I guess.
Brian is likely on low dose TRT. I believe he understands what running some cycle of PEDs does to a young endocrine system and hormonal production. No teenager should run any hormones or PEDS and Brian is savvy enough to know this. I’m into bodybuilding as well and it doesn’t take lots of poking in that world to understand that any trainer with a little knowledge knows not to touch that stuff until at least your mid to late 20s.
Bob Hannah was my hero (like so many others), there will never be another Hannah. But yes, there are shades of Bob in Haiden. I don't mind competitors who talk smack, including Haiden. I think this sport is better with some "colorful" dialogue. What I don't care for is the "sick, dude, bro" speak or the sticking out of tongues with the hand signs....endemic of his generation.
