Seems like that would be a really great fit for Matt.....already familiar with Yamaha's, I don't believe he is tied down anywhere preventing him from moving to NC, obviously hard worker with determination. Some might think JGR would have to "take a chance" on him but I think he'd be worth that chance.......... Thoughts?

Georke is not worth the chance. JGR has to be all chanced out. Hanson,Cooper,Grayck were a bust and Brayton will be when all is said and done. Grant has been good here and there but he will never contend for any title. I can't imagine this team keeping him unless he rides for FREE.

IMO Taking a chance does not work. Sooner or later JGR is going to have to shit or get off the pot. Its time to open the check book and get a rider that can compete in every moto every week!!!!

With Grant supposedly moving on, they need a title contender to headline the team alongside Brayton, which I don't believe Goerke is capable of next year. But if they signed a team leader and still had a bit of cash left over Goerke would make a great third rider and I'm certain he would surprise a few people inside and out. I think a team like JGR is just what he needs to put in a consistent, injury free season and take a few top 5's and podiums.

When I first read the title of the thread I thought no way, but the more I think about it, the more it seems like a good fit.

Gotta agree with this one. If they sign a "big dog" will they allow them to stay and train in their own environment or are they going to continue to insist that their riders move to the facility? That is what is going to hold the top guys from signing there, no? I get why they want to do it, but the top guys will resist heavily, won't they?

yup unless its a top guy tha thas been having trouble the last couple of years (ie millsaps and tedesco) who still need to get paid a decent salary JGR would be good fit. i still think grant was good for that team but his consistancy just wasnt there.... could be EXACTLY what bubba needs.. out of the palace and back to racing...

He was in the running for the East Coast SX title a few years ago with Yamaha of Troy. If the kid can stay healthy, I think he can do some serious damage.

There ain't gonna be any title threat rider available.

They should just go with Reed and do their best to help him make podiums.

JGR needs to sign 1 top guy (like Metcalfe) or 10 second level guys (like Millsaps, Grant, etc) . Focus on the 450 class only.

Injuries have plagued JGR not chances.

They have offered Reed and Scrubba both rides, and they both turned them down. Now that they have proven equipment, they could get a good rider. They continue to say they don't want factory retreads, they want guys out of the 250 class. If they stay the course, in this economy, they could get a good young rider who who has the potential to win races.

I believe this was discussed as a possibility on the Pulp MX Show (PMXS)

This would be, at best, a sideways move for Metty. He is on excellent equipment and has a good programme at Geico Honda. No need to switch to JGR.

Metty deserves a factory ride!!!!
