Hopefully this link works for everyone or someone can embed the video within the thread. Great video! A lot of big names in this video. It's great seeing these guys so young and knowing what they did with their careers.

Growing up in Canyon Lake in the 90's sure was cool. All those guys were just a few years older than me and my heros! I did everything I could to tag along whenever I could. That video brings back alot of great memories!

still one of my all-time favorite videos. i have it on DVD and watch it at least once every month or couple months.

sad to think that this is one of the last great free-ride videos the big pro's put out. now everyone is too reserved and secret about everything. not to mention the training and i'm sure the sponsors have restrictions to play riding. sad story. awesome fucking video

Steel Roots is fuggin Epic!!! Best freeride video of all time. It really showcases MC's style and grace on a dirt scooter. The guy was such an amazing talent. I'm glad I was able to witness his time in this sport.

Thanks a million for putting that up. I was actually looking for this vid the other day to no avail. I was 16 or 17 when that came out, I must have watched it 1000 times.

Steel Roots is part of why I got so into riding. That is why I was so bummed when Swap asked MC about making another one and he basically laughed it off. Sad

Thanks for posting. Great video. How weird would it be to see Dungey, Stewart, Reed, and Villopoto all out riding the dunes together...those were the days.

Damn... This brings me back to being young, and not GAF!

Good memories there. Along with the first few Crusty flicks.

Even more weird would be any one of those guys riding three different brands of bike in the same video.

The mid 90's video explosion was one of the coolest times in the sport. For an eastern kid like me I was blown away by what was going on in California. California was like a different planet to me.....

McGrath has a coolness that is timeless.........

SORRY to bring up an old post but steel roots was and still is my favorite movie of all time, i bought it when it first came out when i was 11 or 12 years old, that movie introduced me to great music, became a huge fan of punk music after getting into social d because of the video (young minds are impressionable lol) i think i watched steel roots every single day until i was 14... then girls and cars became cool, but i still have it on vhs and still pop it in every once in a while with some mx buddies, seems like everyone i know that rides has never heard of it, well its better than that gay nitro circus bullshit! lol best movie ever!!!!!!1

Pretty sure it was in Steel Roots that Enslow broke his wrist on a big stepup. Anyway, not sure if any of you have seen this but.... Same jump.
