Hey, gang, I wanted to check in with you to let you in on some important news that will affect all Motodrive members.
A while back I worked it out with my cohorts at Vital MX to absorb Motodrive into Vital. That way you get the usual happenings at Motodrive, plus all the content that Vital has to offer, all in one place. This will be happening fairly soon…probably tonight or early tomorrow.
I’d sent messages to some of the long-time members here, as well as posting on MD and Vital, asking for feedback on the Vital MX Forum. We’ve received some cool ideas from you guys, and if you’ve been paying attention, you may have seen that some of those changes have already been incorporated.
We’ve also been hard at work, trying to make the transition as seamless as possible for everyone…though with all the variables involved, this seems like a process that borders on rocket science. For example, we’re working on flowing the current Motodrive messages into Vital, so you can continue your current discussions uninterrupted.
For Motodrive members who didn’t already have an account here at Vital, we’ve gone ahead and created one for you. Try your regular username and password to log in. For current Vital members (except in a very few cases) that should also be the case. In a few situations, there are duplicate usernames between the sites…we know lots of those were the same person, but who were using different e-mail addresses. You can try your Motodrive and Vital log-in to find out which one works. Then head over to your profile and update your username and/or password.
In a few situations, there were duplicate (conflicting) usernames. In situations like these, we opted to give the username to the person with the most forum posts, and you can expect an e-mail from me explaining how to have your username changed.
You guys helped build Motodrive to thriving community that it is, and we hope you like the new digs. We also want you to know that we’ll be making even more changes, and adding additional features soon.

Good job guyb, you crazy fugger.
We're working on incorporating the older posts (and rooms...well, with maybe one or two exceptions) in here as I type this. My guess is it's all in place by morning.
Something else I'm trying to do is communicate as we go along, not just wrench behind the scenes while you guys are wondering what's happening.

Actually, for a while at least, if you have MD bookmarked, it'll eventually forward you over to here. But we'll also have a way set up for people to go retrieve old PMs, and I'll let you know when that 's dialed in.

Like the old Motodrive it's very clean and uncluttered.
Since you're working on adding new features can you see if it's possible to have the first part of a message show up as a mouse over on topics. I'm a member on a few other boards and I've come to really like that feature. It's handy.
Being able to see what topics you've read and to be able to jump to the latest unread post are other must add additions IMHO.
