I know the coverage was bad, but if Vialle was lapped, how did he get last? Did every other person finish the race and pass him? He was in top ten when he went a lap down I believe.

Was told that he dropped his bike off the side of the tunnel jump and it got stuck against the scaffold...

Ok, so chaotic and bad filming, but thought he went one lap down on last lap. But who knows and the timing and scoring may not have caught up. I thought maybe since he crashed at scoring tower he didn’t cross the wire. And can’t believe nobody dnf’d before that.

The camera focused on him quite a bit while stuck by the scaffold but I agree, surely there were some DNF’s before him.

Tom Vialle: "We finished up in Foxborough and it was a really rainy day here. I managed to win my Heat Race, and then the track was really challenging for the Main Event. I had a bad start and came back to fifth, and then had a crash with two laps to go, which kept us from finishing the race. I’m now tied with Seth [Hammaker] in the championship and it’ll be a good fight with four rounds to go until the end.”

It was only 8 minutes + 1 right?  Not that surprising to me that nobody else was more than two laps down / didn’t dnf.

wondered the same thing. I know he was down before that while running 5th as well. The 2nd 450 heat showed Mookie down 3 laps and he was dead last off the start only to finish 2nd ???

Yeah that was odd in those conditions that it was that late in the race and that bad of conditions he still ended up 22nd!

Or did he take a dive not to be forced to move up to the 450 class if he was to win his second title?!?!?

I don’t think he finished his last lap…and it appears that everyone-else did…

From what I saw from the stands he was doing pretty good the whole race well until he went down with 2 laps to go. He was in 5th at the time and ahead of everyone he was battling in the championship. Almost everybody fell or got stuck at some point, but with him it seemed like something was wrong with his bike. It took him about a lap to get going again and he tried to go off the track around the jump he was stuck on then slid out on the plywood and crashed again. Then he was there for what felt like forever. On the podcast they said his throttle got stuck wide open from mud.

After hymas crossed the finish I saw vialle finally get going and ride down the final rythm section and into the last turn but couldnt see what happened as it was blocked cuz I was on the other side of the stadium. Going by what other people are saying about him being stuck against the scoring tower it sounds like he crashed next to or on the finish line. On the vital pod ML said he heard he ghost rhode his bike over the finish so take from that what you will.

Looks like a video is out showing what happened at the finish. He did cross the finish, just after being down 2 laps and apparently the rumors of him ghost riding over the top were true.
