Check out this wiseco clutch basket I've had in my sons yz65 for about 100 hours. Using Yamaha OE clutch kit.
Contacted wiseco and they are warrantied against notching for lifetime but I don't have the original receipt since I bought this used but unopened.
Not really upset, honestly didn't know what to expect since I've never used a billet basket before. But I'm definitely switching to a Hinson now.

100hrs is pretty good for a basket,,,IMO…
In my experience about all of the aftermarket baskets are the same other than Rekluse components. I was wildly unimpressed with the longevity of the full Hinson setup in my 125.
Yea that honestly doesn't look terrible. They will all wear, it's the nature of it. The aftermarket are just meant to last longer.
If this is normal for it to be notched, then I guess it's pretty cool that wiseco would warranty it for lifetime

Wiseco baskets are not billet they’re forged. And for 100hrs that’s amazing honestly. This is my Hinson basket with 60ish hrs in a crf450r. Granted the engine was in a quad frame.. but still. That makes me even happier with my choice to go wiseco for my yz250 build. Hit that thing w/ the ole razzle dazzle(flat bastard file) and throw it back in.
Why anyone would buy anything but Wiseco clutch baskets is mind blowing to me. They lifetime warranty them. Hinson does not. Enough said really.
I wish we could all have one piece steel clutch baskets like a KTM...

I have never tried the Wiseco baskets, but I have a Barnett basket in my YZ250 and it has held up well for over 100 hours.
The fingers are lined with stainless steel, so they don't notch out as quickly or as severely as aluminum.

Some (or all) of the Rekluse complete clutch assemblies use a steel shim to protect the fingers on the basket in a similar way.
You can see those bent sheet-metal shims in the lower-right of this photo:
I thought all of the Wiseco baskets used steel inserts?
Barnett use steel sleeves riveted to the basket, rekluse uses the steel shims that slid in. Wiseco is just the aluminum basket
