how many wins would he have right now? does he have the raw speed of canard right now? if he got a 8th place start in this gnarly class could he still win a moto??
lets be serious...now that reed is out, grant and alessi have quit, short has zero conditioning....and all the depth is in the 250's.....has dungey got an easy ride and is overated right now?

What.....did Dungey pass on a "gay pass" you tried on him or something?
You sure do like to slam on him don't ya?
everybody goes all bayle on pourcel...i think canard has a rare talent over everybody in the way that he somehow keeps the power to the ground like nobody else....that's his edge!

Dungey deserves everything he gets... he has won both classes now.
No one can take anything away from what he has accomplished in the last two years in the USA. He is America's best rider.
Doing SX on 450's have hurt the depth in the 450 class for motocross. It's just not that impressive as it used to be. This makes mxdn less interesting for me. Usually it was rest of the world vs RC and RC was still favourite. Now US is just a solid team and it's just a teamrace.
Beating RC or JS7 was a big deal. Beating Dungey is not comparable cause we know he wins because SX took so many riders out.
The best three riders in MX2 would add three more potential winners if they did the Lites in the US.
Hopefully they combine the series some day in the future. This is stupid to divide an already small sport into something even smaller.
We will see next year when some of the top 250 guys move up to the big bore class.
Does it even matter, since it's not reality? Another stupid "what if" thread; awesome.
Pit Row
Just my opinions, but I think he would have a tougher task in the 250's now, because more of the top talent remains in the class. I also think he's better suited for the 450 than the 250.
You have to say he's also got a terrific program and a perfect fit with RD and Goose and the rest of the Suzuki squad. It reminds me a bit of how Bailey developed at Honda, and his personality (public at least) seems similar.
Dungey is as good as anyone in a long time at racing each moto for the championship, and that patience in the motos pays off. Pourcel is smart that way, too.
