Motocross and Supercross industry personnel from around the world have started to contact Supercross.com to verify if the rumor is true. "Is Team USA for MX of Nations Ryan Dungey, Andrew Short, and Trey Canard? What happened to James Stewart being on the team?"
Supercross.com has had no contact with anyone that makes these decisions. As was previously announced, the official announcement is due to be released Saturday at the AMA Lucas Oil National Motocross at Unadilla, New York.
We do not know officially, but it also seems no coincidence as to the number of people contacting us to verify the team of Dungey, Short, and Canard. And no Stewart. We, like you, will wait for the official announcement on Saturday.
More info when it becomes available will be here on Supercross.com

I'd like to make a unofficial announcement.

Team USA with Dungey, Short and Canard won at Lakewood and kept the cup where it belongs! Woohoo

Liked it better when we chose the three fastest riders like 1986's team with O'Mara, RJ, and db. I prefer RD, Trey, and JBS.

I think it's a solid team, this would be a punishment for JS7 because everyone was counting last year with him for the team and did not come to defend the colors of her country! IMO

I`m not questioning Rogers decision, I`m talking about hipocracy on this board.

Good solid team Dungey Short and Canard will get it done.. As I see it Stewart does not deserve to be on the team and I bet if the race was in europe he wouldn't want to go anyway but because it is in the USA it is not as much of an inconvenience to him so NOW he wants to be a hero. ..................Flame on bitches!

Short will do just fine....and he has earned it this year.

I think that team looks great on paper.

IMO...
Dungey should be good for 2 solid motos.
Canard should be good for 2 solid motos.
Short knows that track and has already proven this season that he can give us one solid moto with a top 3 finish at that track.
That is all we need to get it done, anything better is a bonus(since we can throw out our worst moto score). Smile

Of course you would prefer that. You're not the #29 who worked his ass off all year only to have to sweat them choosing a guy that has been on the couch and or filming reality/party shows for a year and 1/2. As far as I'm concerned and most everyone else for that matter they will have picked the three fastest guys they had to choose from if they pick Short, Canard and RD.

While Im nervous that we arent sending the fastest guy, Andrew has earned it this year. With it being his home track I think he will ride great. He wont be the fastest guy out there, but he will be near the front at all times. Really, really happy for Andrew if this is true.

Besides, if they did indeed pick Stewart and he messes it up,he will never hear the end of it.

His luck at the MXoN hasn't always been that great.
At his last MXoN performance he almost messed it up (thank god for Ferry) and also in 2006 he didn't quite dominate the event, was real nervous and even went down in his first Moto I think,he also looked pretty stiff on the bike (pressure nerves).
Granted we still won both events....maybe 3rd time is a charm...or maybe not.

I may be superstitious but,for some reason I like the idea of sending Andrew over James. Smile

I remember how stunned I was at how easily Everts worked over James. I knew Everts was an amazing rider, but I never expected that. My dumbass thought that James had it in the bag if he stayed upright.

What is extremely valuable at the MXdN? Starts

Short's been nailing holies all year.

If I remember correctly, consistency is also crucial; Short's had nine podiums against the best guys in the world this summer.

I like Stewey, he is a bad mofo and I hope he lays wood to Dungey these next few weeks. But in my opinion MXDN is "NOT" for guys with supercross "ONLY" contracts that come out to play once or twice a year. So I'm all for Team America being Dungey, Short, and Canard.

Wonder how that's gonna F up ole Hollywoods reality show... Maybe next year instead of screwing around with soreballs he'll come out and play with the boysSmile

if it's true, then Roger is doing his job because team comes first and you need five top FINISHES to win the Nations. And after 24 Nations team victories as manager and 16 as a rider, I guess Roger knows that just fine !

For the doubters, look on the bright side, IF the US were to lose without Bubbles, then you got a ready-made excuse, like last year with the "B" team tag on the guys who have won indoor and outdoor through 2010.

Heah, how about if Red Bull arrange for Bubbles and Cairoli to meet and greet the folks in their hospitality at Thunder Valley. Now that would be genuine "reality" !

I would rather see Red Bull pay off La Cosa Nostra to persuade the FMI into letting Tony & David race. Wink Just saying.
