I've never see Ferris race, but both Moss brothers have had fairly horrid seasons over here this year. Unfortunately, so has Reed. Hopefully he's feeling better.

I'd love to see everyone healthy and riding like they know how. Unfortunately, injuries are part of it.

Aussie has been a bit of a let down in previous years..
Perhaps Ferris will get the job done for them? He's young so can only get better. May be a force to be reckoned with in the future.

450 Rider in the Australian series, came third behind Marmont and Billy Mackenzie I think.. He has raw speed but has yet to figure consistency out, however the fact that he was chosen over Matt Moss to ride a 250 is a joke.

I agree, they should have chosen Moss. I mean, Suzuki even has a fresh 250F in the stable to use. Stroupe isnt using it.

he might even get a bit of mx2 practice on a very good bike but that is a big might.. it might not even be a might but it might be ..... mmmmmaybe

Consistency is one thing but the kid hasn't ridden a 250 in 12 months. And when he did he was smoked by Mossy. By picking him we are not only showing disprespect to Mossy but also to all our aussie 250 riders that raced all year in that class. By basically saying they aren't good enough.

Personally i think Dean will do a great job if he has the right support which he should've had all season.

Dean is a phenomenal rider and deserves this accolade, im just not sure if this is the right year for him to be going. Give him a geico bike and i'll eat my words.

Hows that showing disrespect to Mossy?

He supposed to be riding a 450 fulltime in the states, shouldnt Gibbs ahve got the nod as the 1st lite rider under 21 home in the aussie mx nats.
I dont agree at all - mossy may be riding a 450 full time here but from what I can work out on the web so has ferris and yes looks like moss smokes ferris on the 250. mossys fit team australia mental not to pick him and not even reserve just plain crasy he won 3 titles in a 08/09 from what i can seein a row had an injury sounds like thats all good now- i cant find any record on web of ferris winning anything correct me if im worng and why is marmont put in as reserve over reardon - looks like australia has some thing against lites riders going to the states but good luck anyway

Hey, perhaps the Aussie selectors deliberately excluded some of our best riders on the basis that last year America sent, what many peopled claimed to be, a B Team and then went on to win the whole bloody thing (pretty awesome, actually).

No wait, I get it now. We're going to use the Steven Bradbury 'Last Man Standing' tactic.

Mossy is superfast no doubt, but Matt has had a horror run this year, he had not finished a great deal of races in 2010, he has had a few good motos but his fitness from his wrist injury still does not look to be back to 100%, hopefully he proves me wrong this weekend.

Ferris has had his run of bad injuries, this year as a privateer in Australia he finished 3rd in the championship on a 450, he will have to get used to riding a 250F again for the MXoN, but no different than if Moss was picked.

The lites Reserve rider is Kirk GIbbs, a rider with blistering speed and found the consistancy he needed this year, well nearly. He was Australias fastest Lites rider this year, closley followed by Ford Dale, Kibbs would have to feel a little hard done by for missing the team as his lap times on his 250F this year were the same as the Open class riders, think he would have turned some heads if got the opportunity to race this years MXoN, good thing for Gibbs is he still has a couple of years before he turns 23.

The team we have ended up with is strong, i dont care what people say about Chad he is quick enough to win races and if not win a gauranteed top 5 rider at the MXoN, Metty also a gauranteed top 5-10 rider with the chance to podium races or with a bit of luck win. Ferris is a determained rider with a lot of raw talent, he will suprise people at the MXoN and i would not be suprised if he has some US teams chasing him in the next couple of years.

Go Team Aussie.

Moss should have been picked no questions. injured wrist or not he is still faster then Ferris and Gibbs on a 250 period.

I'll be betting MR Brettt will be top 2 , after the riding his been doing of late,

ES'Spech after his form, no need t worry about Chad or Dean'o Ferris, like Trey or JLaw'

Without a Dad to support them they will fly, and will hopefully be upon the dias, they

absouloutly deserve it. And Jay would also be the best fill in if Chad is'nt right,

Definately Matty should be there but also Ford Dale would be my pick, that kid is far out fast,

As is Kibbsy, Laughing good luck anywhoos, to all
