Be sure to have a bucket ready to catch vomit. We have a C2 rower that our guys use to warm up at the races. When it's at the shop we have competitions to see who can throw down the best 500 meter time. BT has it covered with a 1:20-something... I think 1:26. I did a 1:32 and almost passed out. I haven't felt that bad since I the WORCS race at Lake Havasu a few years ago. And this only took a minute and a half. It's an ass-kicker. Good luck.

Hey Ping, Thanks for posting. I just got back from Loretta's and everyones seems to know about the rower and how good it is for training. The racing was great but man it was even hotter than normal. I will be at Unadilla this weekend. See you there. - Greg

To all the guys posting times could send me an email with your names and address? I also want to let you know that Davy Combs of RacerX came up to me at Loretta's and said he has been looking at all of your postings! He was impressed and excited. Davy is a great guy that truly loves the sport and the people involved. He also reads Vital all the time so keep up the good work.

Been off the rower for 2 weeks due to vacation & other reasons. That is an eternity when you're trying lower your times and build on something, so tonight I got a rude "welcome back" from my machine. 8/10/10 5k in 20:23.5. The next 2 weeks aren't going to be a whole lot of fun!

Hey guys, I finally have time to get back in here. The winning times at LL's this year were a bit off the pace but with a heat index of 130 it was to be expected. Plus the best athletes were the racers and I would not let them do the fly and die if they had a race that day. I did not want to be responsible if they fried their lungs! the fastest time was a 1:27 and it was an MTF rider from Australia and he was a light weight. The heavyweight time was slower at 1:29 and his name is Shawn Miller a good friend of Phil Smage and an awesome pit bike racer!

Ok everybody is doing awesome but I want you guys to try somthing. It is called the Tabata protocal. It is 20 sec. high intensity rowing followed but 10 sec. rest and you do it 8 times. So as you can see it is only 4 minutes total output but it can really pay dividends. I am going to do it 4 days a week at the start of my workouts as a living test. If anyone wants to do it with me have at it. You should also google some of the research on it. http://tabataprotocol.com/

I'm down with that! I'd imagine this is really gonna suck the first couple times though haha.

I am not sure the tabata should never get easier because you are always going as hard as you can. Being Moto guys we can handle anything as long and there is a finish line and a checkered flag! Check out this video of JGR training room. Nice shot of Josh on the rower.

Hey if any of you guys are at Unadilla look for me. I will be wearing a blue Concept2 shirt. I am taking my nephew so i will have a little guy with me and will most likely be around the pits. I am also going to be watching the amateur races. - Greg
