A 13 year old has a hard time and one race and now he's washed up? Unreal.

So you guys are telling me that the best amateur motocross team, overseen by Mitch Peyton, put the wrong motor in a supermini bike for the star child? Give me a break, AC is a little cry baby, he should have raced the last motos like everyone else that doesn't have a chance. Its better to lose valiantly than to quit because you aren't good enough. I guess that shows us just how hard he is willing to work and should be an eye opener to all those who look at sponsoring him...
Passing judgement and name calling on a 13 year old kid is unreal...
You are an ass! Proabaly a jealous ass.

I'm sure Adam will rebound, but there does seem to be an undue amount of commercial pressure on this young kid, at 13 years old already featured in mag adverts, video's, etc.
I almost think there should be a mandatory age limit, say 16, before which a rider can't be used in advertising, publicity purposes. Let the kids grow into men first before the industry exposes them into the glare of publicity and they are mature enough to live with the consequences!

It's seriously amazing to me the things that are said on this site about a 13 yr old boy. Seriously incredible.. As far as I know and can remember this is the first time I've seen a 13 yr old step up and choose to only race the supermini thru 16 classes at LL instead of the 12-14 classes. You guys might think 1-2 years difference isn't a big deal but at that age every year is HUGE. Look at how far kids like Ken Roczen and Herlings have come in 1-2 years.

The week before at ponca AC won 3 out of 4 titles he entered and one title he won easily (sweeping both motos) was in the thru 16 supermini class w/ Webb and Owen both in the class. The only title he didn't win was the 85/150 thru 16 open class. He lost that title by a huge 1.4 second margin..Woohoo And of course he easily swept all 4 of his motos that were his age group. So all in all at Ponca the kid won 6-8 motos and swept the thru 16 supermini..

So last week he's a hero and this week he's a washed up spoiled brat?

Give me a fckin break you morons. He has a bad week at LL and people trash the kid. I think it's funny when jealous morons root against adults but it's absolutely disturbing when grown men are so jealous that they root against a 13 yr old boy.

Maybe he left early to practice his French and Italian language skills so he will be ready when he goes to Europe on his 16th birthday.

There is really only one guy in this thread that has said anything overly negative, and he just signed up today for the purpose of responding to this thread which makes him a troll.

I understand in this thread there was only the one guy or one troll. I was more speaking to all the different threads this week on vital. All week in various different threads I've heard numerous comments about how he choked, sucked, is over rated, over hyped, parents paid for his ride, etc etc.. If you've been reading all the LL threads you know where I'm coming from.

If AC would have ran stock and mod 85 12-14 some would have called him a sandbagger.
I for one think it's great that he is running the toughest class he can.

IMO he will lean more from losing than winning by 40sec , just ask RD what you can learn from losing

The motor problems are a little puzzling, I've never rode a Honda 150 but I would think that a decent super-mini would be competitive without pushing the mods to the limit but I don't know that.

Is a 150 4strk faster on the track than a good super-mini?

I think Coop is gonna have a bright future and be very successful in the pros.

Me & my family are on the AC bandwagon. He was at both regionals we went to and I had my little one watch him closely to see what he was doing, how he was riding and so on...a lot of riders can learn a lot by watching him and his smoothness on the track. When he jumps he pops up like there are super springs on his bike. It's amazing and just sorry to hear that things went poorly at LL.

I would also like to add to whomever implied that AC is lazy. Yes lazy kids get full Monter/Kawi rides...yes lazy kids get to LL...yes lazy kids abound in MX.

I have much respect for AC and all the riders that made it to LL. It's not easy and for some it was a shot in the dark just showing up, but you made it there and were looked at as the creme of the crop.

I'm not commenting about the pressure he is under, or the wins he had last week, my only statement (if you read all of my posts) is that there is no reason to leave a race like lorettas early. If you worked hard enough to get there (like he has) then there is absolutely NO REASON to leave... Especially for the type of backing he has.

I admitted my language in my first post was uncalled for and not a good choice of wording but I still stand by the fact that he should have finished out the week.

By wording you mean name calling? It would hve been nice to see him finish out the week but maybe there were other circumstances? Unless you know you shouldn't comment let alone judge or name call........

It may not have been 100% HIS decision...he is only 13 and still has to do as he is told.

Maybe, just maybe they were thinking ahead to the next race, AC had some pretty bad luck going and didn't want to risk injury for a race he no chance of winning. What if he went out and got caught up in another first turn accident and got hurt ? I'm pretty sure the sponsors understand, he's there for titles not to please you.

I did a brief interview with him for Matthes's Pulp MX site. In speaking with him before 'the interview' this kid proved to me he is the real deal. He wasn't cocky or stuck up or anything negative like that. He has a great head on his shoulders and was totally down to earth.

I even hinted at how 'bad' the week had been going for him and he was quick to say how it hadn't been that bad and that he wasn't upset at all and was looking forward to the next event. I was actually amazed at how composed and positive he was about the whole thing.

Great kid. Quick-witted and a great sense of humour for a 13 year-old. He's going to be great for the sport in the future. Kind of a Travis Pastrana personality...you'll see.

These races become very much like a job. Yes, it's fun to actually race, but many forget that they do this (almost) every week.....7 years now.
Good for them, they took off early and got (I'm sure) a needed couple of days off.....helping to avoid burnout.
Sometimes this board is really sad.

Adam at only 13 has more personality and charisma that 99% of the pros out there. Sure seems like a great kid to me.

As Tim said above, "Sometimes this board is really sad"

Can`t wait for him to come to Europe, At least we treat riders with respect , not '' you`re only as good as your last race'' bullshit. We appreciate talant, where in US you seem to have too many talants and get spoiled by that.

GP - you have to be 15 years old to be able to race.
AMA- 18.
Just my two cents, but I think Adam is a reason PC is getting so involved in GP`s and CLS Kawasaki in particular

My personal opinon of the Kid is he is super man fast and probably one of not THE fastest mini riders on the planet right now but with all the hype surrounding this kid and his big time sponsors all the exposure and videos of him, people telling him how great he is etc......I think he will be burnt out before he hits the pro's.

Already lives the life essentially of a factory pro and he's not even on big bikes yet. Maybe he did have a bad showing because he was focusing on being a star riding at Reedy's and doing TWMX videos ....bad luck at LL's and him being an eleite mini rider may have gotten to his head and took away his focus for LL's. Yes I know he had bad luck with 1st turn crashes and a motor mixup but I expected more out of the kid at LL's for sure.

Anyone see where he stated I think on PulpMX's site the interview he did he said they are probably going to change the 18 years old rule for the pro's? He sounded pretty confident it was going to happen.

Kongols. IMO PC is getting involved w/the GP's because the company is going worldwide. I don't think it has anything to do w/AC. I wouldn't hold your breath when it comes to him racing the GP series. The age limit ,from what I hear, is heading back down to 16 and AC will be staying in America.

"it's better to burn out than to fade away,"

famous quote and famous last words too. nothing worse for a career than to get a big head before yer time. not sure if this is this kids issues but there are more than a few affected by this...history shows anyways
