That's what you'd call a "positive stop."

Yea wow no kidding there, when i read the thread i was thinking trick aluminum hand made tanks, which those probably are, but they are definatly different for sure, and at a sand track like Lommel i can see where they would need extra fuel on board. You might need to wear a baseball or football cup, just in caseLaughing

Wouldn't it be better to make em a bit wider?

All that work the manufacturers supposedly go through these days to centralise weight! haha...

No, he didn't.

He used a normal gas tank.

Why?

I assumed he did, guarneri did, Desalle last year too i think.

Strange move, that cost them big.

Dunno why.

Here's a pic of Tanel and one of Davide.

You can see Tanel did not use the big tank.

Gotta love those environmentally friendly fuel efficient four strokes. They've made the racing so much better for everyone involved. Not to mention safer and less expensive.

They regularly used big tanks on smokers at sand tracks, too.

Part of making a point is not stretching it too thin. Not to mention becoming white noise.

Redeem yourself with some Fox RM pics.

I believe it was tried with the first gen CR's and they found the spars got too hot for gasoline to be in them....not to the flash point but hot enough that the fuel would not burn like it was supposed to it would detonate a lot earlier than it was supposed to due to the added heat and compression.

Normally everyone runs a bigger tank in the sand. My tank holds an extra liter more than standard at all the GP. I know most people like KTM and other people that run plastic tanks heat the and then blow some of the bends out of the tank with air pressure. I tried one of those ball breakers once..... Let's just say bad experience !!!

Wouldn't it have been much easier and ergonomic to run an IMS tank?

is this the real Zach Osborne? if so how would you compare racing in the U.S. vs racing in Europe?

He's on his way to Loket, so an answer could take a while.

Even so, good luck Zach!

Good luck Zach, Michael L., and Jimmy A.!!

Nice announcing job on Freecaster TV Jimmy!

I like your comment to Paul Malin that you don't ever want to announce an MX1 race again.

That would be too easy and cost-effective...not "works" enough.
