Haha yeah sept to even May 3 yrs ago we got 11 inches of wet stuff. Just north of town 20 inches.  Ohio ,Wv. 10+ inches last week , Va. I think it was less but drizzle & freezing rain. A patch would make a loud sound & all the windshield was ice. Not good in steep mtns with tight curves i64.  Flooding in the Chesapeake bay towns.  Going back west all the snow was gone . They had hvy rain . Soo stupid looking seeing all the Super ego 1099 trucks in the ditch & mediun steel post & cables thrown everywhere., guards rails all tore up.  We used to joke looks like a Werner truck came threw here. S. Bend was snowing of course when I got here. They wouldn’t unld me bet they had no salt for there outdoor ramp.  At the strip mall then corporate said unload without it . In the snow I had to help because they don’t know what there going . Then my boss is crying about his insurance bill, etc.  2 stops in strip malls would b nice if these people would plow there properties.  All winter dispatch sits me then runs me into to bad storms . Brother co.s won’t do the ld because you get stuck in Mi. 288 mi lake effect storms. Not 18-38 mi lk storms like since the beginning of time.  With 1,200 lb loads & 3 stops following the lake up.

Wow this phone sucks changes words . And I can hardly see in the cab it’s soo dark   I peeled the faces of the lights off but some r super glued on.  Hard to see my phone it’s starts driving you nuts being in a dark hole .  Worst winter ever running back roads & cheap o won,t run toll roads magnifies everything.  KC 2 storms -11 wed got lucky 3rd storm didn’t happen. The sun was soo bright it was blinding. Late at night I asked google, if it snows when below zero is the snow brighter.  It answered yes it is.  Brighter snow crystals etc.IMG 2439

Spent Saturday with some gentlemen from Texas…

They were wearing their jackets. 🤣

We hung out, caught up on family…our kids…our dogs…shared stories…had some laughs…told lies…went or Waffle House…said hi to a coupl’a racers…walked the pits…stole bicycles…stole bacon and chicken from some guys bar-b-que…bought $20 beers…

And had an epic time with friends.

Texas.

It’s how a cowboy spells Murica.

If you think the DFW Megatropalis Texas, is ‘Murica, you should venture out to the country. DFW, San Antone, Austin, and Houston aren’t Texas. Try Paris, Lampasas, Tyler, Kyle, Johnson City or the like. Before it all gets covered in concrete.

40 years ago before the internet where everything is a few clicks away, I spent a LOT of time on the phone with the folks at GAP Tractor,  getting parts for the old Allis tractors I was restoring.

If you knew of the places I’ve ridden in Texas…You’d be pissed.

Btw, my favorite “down-town” scene…by far…is…

Ft Worth…Hell’s 1/2 Acre and all that.

Real Texas is when you’re literally LOST somewhere on US 281…or when you are somewhere outside of Nacogdoches lookin’ for a spark-plug for your 2 stroke…

I’m jus’ sayin’…

I stood in line for 20 minutes to get a beer only to have the card reader die as I bellied up to the counter.  I took it as a sign.  Hell, that was the first time I've ever seen the line for the men's restrooms just as long as the women's.

The Hill Country diners on 281 still have pie carousels.  And the waitresses still call you sugar and darlin'.

I once bought a used works bike from a guy named John Rodier. Still have it. Seems antiquated.

Usually our winter is 3-4 month. This year it started February 5th and will be over in a few days. Just a couple weeks. Nuts.
