The video sucks. It isnt your fault, it is ESPN but wow, that has got to be the worst camera footage I think Ive ever seen. They change cameras right when the rider gets airborne and its really hard to follow. Horrible footage.

OhMyFckinGod those were sick tonight. Insane how they bring some of those back. Seems to me like the whip has progressed so much that it's not really a whip anymore. At least not the whip as I remember it. I remember when seeing the drain plug was a big deal. Now you can't see the drain plug any more unless you're up in the 300 level seating , way the hell up there, because the bikes are completely inverted.

Potter is on another level though.

I never really cared for freestyle, but the whips some of these guys are doing blow my mind. Potter is a total badass....and on a 450 ! .....and that one whip by McNeil was nuts.

Best whip is a cool event.



The racers kind of get the shaft because they do way more old school whips. Just fat upside down stuff, like RC used to pull. But with Potter and the new Aussie pulling turn around 180's like that, it's kind of hard to compare. It's almost apples to oranges!



But regardless, it's pretty insane watching these dudes defy physics on their dirtbikes. Only problem is it's almost useless to watch on TV when the camera angles are so terrible, and change mid flight. WTF is the point? I normally reserve my complaining about TV production because I know there's a ton that goes into it, and I'm sure I couldn't do it. But this is just retarded.. X Games 16 has been a pretty big wash. Hopefully speed and style is exciting today?
