I hope he get's a ton of money from ESPN, because without him it would've been pretty lame.

He makes it look so damn easy. TP is the man! I really love that dude.

He also makes FMX so much more exciting, or even worth watching.

I really thought Sherwood had better runs, I was glad TP did the double just so everyone would say, "Well, if he had that, all he had to do was do his normal run and put that in there and he's a sure winner regardless."

I was pretty impressed with Levi Sherwood, he was strong in all his runs.

But yeah Travis is just on another level.

Jesus the guys sweats natural talent! Didn't even know he was competing, has he been riding a lot? How's that make the other guys feel that a part-timer works them over? He's just one bad fucking cat on a bike!

The thing i dont get (and ya i said it in another thread but...) Travis has attacked the FMX course like its a track and brings so much excitement, and he has been doing it like that since day 1. Why havent these other riders learned from watching him do that? it is SOO BORING watching them idle around on the flats and only get on the gas up until the hits.

Anyway...maybe someday someone will learn.

Because Travis' style isn't laid back and cool like those guys. Travis just lives life about 5mph faster at everything than everyone else.

Can't wait for the rally events

Yep that's it! He attacks just like he attacked the SX/MX tracks.

Travis is still just amazing! Glad to see him come back so strong. What a talent. Pulls the double back and doesn't even need it. And then twice he wishes his Mom a happy 50th birthday. So Erin, what question would you like to ask Travis? "Is there anyone you want to wish a Happy Birthday to?"Blink

I was just about as impressed with the back flip off the 3 ft berm as I was the double off the big ramp. What talent that takes!!

Travis is freestyle. If not for him I don't think freestyle would have ever gotten as big as it did.

Didn't Travis used to race once and a while a few years back? Was he fast?

The whole X games was actually pretty sad compared to years past. I have been to just about every one since they hit LA and this was by far the worst in terms of how big of a deal it was.....Still the double backflip in person was astonishing!!

The entire Metal Mulisha Riders didnt ride.....realistically the FMX was a very thin pool w/o Twitch, Taka, Potter, etc.......I guess some of the guys didnt even show up and twitch was very vocal about his dislike for the course which was very small and didn't flow at all. TP's lines were so creative and thats why he beat Sherwood....everyone else went in the same line routine hit the same jumps with no creativity except for their tricks.....Maddo's body Varial (the one he landed) was insane!!!!!

In person the one sport that has made X games as big as it is FMX seemend to get a back seat to the super X .....My guess is the MM guys didn't want to ride the course but not get fired by their sponsors s they really didnt give it much effort....I mean, you could tell from the first run TP did there was not going to be anyone to challenge him.....
