Yeah I’ve posted this before, most don’t realise Diffey is probably the most experienced anchor SX has had as far as dirt bikes go. He actually rode as a young fella, and has been calling moto since he was a teenager. I seem to remember his brother being quite a good flat tracker as well.

Like Diffey, or not, RC is always better with him for some reason. Last week being a good example.

No hate coms on the broadcast crew.  I get to watch live supercross every Saturday night, so I'm happy. 

Ricky adds flavour, with his Ricky-isms, play by play guy tells me that monster energy is available at Kroger, and Will tells me who she was talking to, so basically gossiping, 

And JT and Weege give some great insight and information. 

Just enjoy the show, try not to over think it.

I've said this before but are the Aussies in here aware that the miss sx from back then (Who was quite the standout for certain reasons haha) is Jess Yates the V8 Supercar host?

She's at the end of this vid.. Also noticed Nicky Whelan there she's the chick who plays the hot Aussie girl in the movie Hall Pass haha

She was a speedway girl before moto and Supercars.

I think he does a great job. 100x better than Ralph was. 

Leigh leads RC into a comment instead of talking then expecting RC to either repeat what he said or scramble for something else to talk about. Something people that announce sometimes don't realize is, they aren't paid by the word, and that less can be more. If it's a good tight race it will speak for itself. 

I got no problem with Leigh. But even Jesus sitting in the booth with RC won’t make him good. 

I got to be around Diffy and Ralph both while I was a young road racer. They were both super genuine, nice fellas to me that were obviously passionate about the industry and their job. Both have made me cringe on broadcast before and both have surprised me. It's hard to get a color commentator that the average person who watches for the first time will take seriously and that the average moto guy will still enjoy listening to. I think Weege, Stew, K Dub, JT, and fuck it, put Lewis Phillips in there for the flavor and humor. I don't even know if it matters who does which role. At the end of the day, maybe the moto industry should stop trying to impress the outside world so much and just bring in a group that the moto people will enjoy.

As an Aussie that has seen Diffey on tv since the 90s, I'm stoked on how far he's made it. He's been around the sport for a long time. I like him on v8s, IndyCar etc etc but my personal opinion is his style just doesn't work well for today's SX. I don't dislike him at all, it just comes across as more a fan watching on the couch at home with his mates drinking beers and bench racing. "Check this out!" 

I have no issues with Leigh. He does a good job and even seems like he knows the sport. 

I don’t think anyone has doubted his credentials and he’s way better than Ralph. Most of the hatred towards him is because we have dudes in this sport that can do that role and know every inch of this sport. 

I don’t mind him but DB or Weege should clearly be in his seat. And the whole situation between him and DB admittedly embarrassingly makes me like him less. All things considered he is pretty good at his job. I just think there are other people that would be better in his position. 

Pretty sure Diffy also announced for the BBC when they covered Moto GP. 

I don't think the situation was between him and DB?! Is that what you meant? Or do you mean it seems that the situation according to NBC is either him or DB? 

(Wait is it NBC? Whatever station it is Haha)

He is great for Indy car racing but please stay out of our SX, RC is just fine give him some respect he a JT really call a good show, I like having RC and Bubba together they really do a great job. 

A brain cell floating in a vat of oil would be better than Ralph.  

Ralph is the WOAT of play by play, RC the WOAT of colour commentary. 

It's the accent plain and simple, even as a aussie hearing an Aussie commentate SX doesn't agree with my brain, even though he kills it.

I just don't  like the guy.
